I read a short article in the paper about a NASA probe that just woke up and will be sending back new more detailed info about Pluto and the rest of the Kieper Belt. It should be taking pictures in less then a week. It took off so long ago that Pluto was still considered a planet and it is so far out there that it takes 4.5 hours for a one way message(travelling at the speed of light) It will be interesting to see what they discover. I just thought it fitting to have some mention of it here on Streator Online. A friend of mine was just telling me the other night that Clyde Tombaugh's ashes are going to be launched to Pluto...now how cool is that!!! M

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned the recent grant from the state regarding Pluto.

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned the recent grant from the state regarding Pluto. Sorry, I knew money was coming; but I thought it was for the Pluto project.
