We got a call about my computer on my aunts phone and idk how they would know about my computer from her number. sounded like a foreign lady and she was telling me how to get to event viewer and showed me all the errors and warnings and if it dont get fixed it could crash my computer and since I couldnt understand her I hung up and she shouldnt be calling my aunts number if it has something to do with my computer. after I hung up she called back 3 times all different numbers I did't answer any of them.

it's a scam call. Ignore them. Never ever respond and do what someone says when you received calls like that. NONE of the computer and software manufacturers ever make calls like that.

There is a new scam in our area. My wife got both an e-mail and a call from "Microsoft" concerning her copy of Windows. She called Microsoft and found out that it was a scam.
Also, I received an e-mail variation of the old Spanish Prisoner Scam. The e-mail was "from" a friend in Peru, Illinois. The text said something to the effect that he was in Turkey and had been beaten up and robbed. Of course, he needed money. I called his house; when he answered, I said: "when did you get back from Turkey?"

I got the same call a few months ago from Microsoft about them receiving error messages from my computer. I told the guy I had a Macintosh so how could they be getting error messages from my computer. he said thank you and sorry about the call. the next day a guy called and gave me the same song and dance but he was from Macintosh . I told him I had a Microsoft operating system. no more calls from any of them since that incident.

I read a long list of folks who were called by this scam. It seems like the call center in Wash. State is using a sub-contractor in India. We just do not answer calls from numbers we don't know. My Mom told me before kindergarten to NOT TALK TO STRANGERS. That's worked for me w/ the cell phone. We don't have a hardline house phone. Not too many folks do much now days.
