Does any of the churches do emergency baptism in a persons home? Don't know how much time my spouse has left due to having a t.I. and wanted to make sure that my spouse is baptized before death. I too need to get baptized also before something happens to me. I really need Jesus christ In our lives. with that being said, maybe my life will turn around and get better However can't say that for my spouse situation. I been wishing and praying everyday hoping for a miracle would happen and remove the ti from my spouse and spare her life.

Wish you well , however if you haven't been a practicing Catholic it may be hard to have them do this. You might find a few who will, good luck.

Great post MM. The Bible shows us over and over again that our faith and the way we treat others is what pleases God.

I agree God knows what is in your heart Rocket. Although, I'm sure you will be able to find someone who can baptize you, too. Best of luck to you and your wife. Be strong.

On that note, I agree, if you have God in your heart, then you believe and will be saved.

Idk,from what I read in the bible,no one goes to heaven unless they are baptized and has accepted and believe in Christ as their savior, and must confess all sins and repent from all sin. Just simply asking god and christ to be forgiven, won't work. You have to be reborn again thru baptism to be forgiven and all sins washed away.I can keep confessing and asking GOD?CHRIST for forgiviness, but until I get baptized ,I am still going to hell when I die. Not to far off from being 50yrs old. Few more years and I will be going over the hill. Now is the time to make things right with everyone and including GOD/CHRIST themselves. I hope to see heaven when I die and be reunited with family that I miss a lot. I already been having dreams of hell and meeting the devil, and don't want that dream to become reality.

A good read is Love Wins by Rob Bell. It may give you some comfort. I don't think that God will reject you if you are not baptized but are a good person who is kind to others and puts him first in your life. You are right though. I am on the other side of the hill and losing my family is what brought me to seek Christ. I too hope to be reunited with them. Pastor Jane gave me this thought and I really like it. She said that people are always searching for a way to insure they will go to Heaven. The fact is that it is not what we do, but what Jesus already did that will get us there. You have brought up this subject in the past Rocket. My best advice to you is to find a church you feel comfortable with and read a study Bible that explains things that you read. I also read The Story. It is the Bible in book form and is an easier read than trying to read the Bible.

Rocket, if that is how you feel, then make the phone call. No one can tell you which church to go to. We have all made suggestions in the past. Choose. Then call whichever church you prefer, and set something up. If you're worried that your wife isnt going to make it, then do it now! But, like others have said, if your heart is in the right place, and you repent for your sins....well, God is a forgiving and loving God.
Didn't you say your wife is in a nursing home? Ask one of the nurses which denominations visit routinely.
And, btw...does your wife want to be baptized? Ask her what HER preference is. It could be different than yours.

Good advice, lucky.
Rocket, if your mind is tormented by bad dreams, then it's time to do something. If, after you go to that church for awhile, you find that your not becoming comfortable, try another.
And, if you are baptised, you don't have to keep getting baptised in a new church. Once done, you're good to go. So, go do it. Anywhere

the Catholic Church identified a baptism of desire, by which those preparing for baptism who die before actually receiving the sacrament are considered saved. by this statement by the church you will be saved even if you are not baptized before death rocket. god will not send you or anyone to hell to burn forever if your heart is true to him.
