I signed up for the paper in January at the Kroger store. Some guy was offering a 20 buck Kroger gift card for signing up and I said OK. I figured I could use it. I didn't really enjoy reading it and found that sometimes I wasn't even bothering to grab it off the porch SO I called and cancelled my subscription. A few days later I get a letter saying that the YMCA was paying for a subscription for me for a whole YEAR! GGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! I feel like I am being FORCED to get it. whether I want it or not.

So call and tell them you don't want it.

I did cancel it. I told them I didn't read it and yet they still opted to give me a "freebie" for a year. I dunno, but free isn't gonna make it BETTER

I enjoy it but different strokes for different folks. If you don't want it for the year call and let them give it to someone who might enjoy it.

They want the presses running is all, so they don't have to close their doors.

All you have to do is let them know, and it will be given to someone else. Like was said ^^^^^
Some elderly person on a fixed income might enjoy getting it for free.

Ask your carrier to give it to someone else. They usually know who would like it. If not just ask them to stop delivering it. Our customers do that sometimes on our routes.

What is it you don't like about it? And what would improve it for you? General question to anyone.

Lol, and no, I don't work for the paper. I quit getting it, because I found I didn't have time to read it, and I was making budget cuts, so it had to go.

I have a subscription to the times press. I asked the paper boy if he would only deliver the Wednesday and Saturday paper for the ads. I think the paper is priced right and the news articles cover most of the towns near Streator. the man that delivers in our neighborhood brings lots of the older customers garbage cans up for them on garbage day.
