My aunts home was broke into today and she was robbed. This would be in the 300 block of S. Monroe.
M&M don't you have a home in that block?
Please if you are home during the day, watch out for the ones that can't be, her husband died a few years ago and they got her engagement ring and both wedding bands, TV's and gaming systems can be replaced, she can't replace her rings intended for her daughter.

I had heard about that, and went over there to see her today...but no one was home though. Ironically that they were and had been in the process of moving all weekend long!!! Only to not stay there Sunday night, but to come back there yesterday to find out THAT had happened!! You can NOT tell me that these lowlife POS's aren't riding around watching, and casing out houses...they KNEW!!! This just makes me sick. We got broke into too a few years back and it's a very violating experience, one that I will never be able to forget, ever. I did also notice the other day that the "Neighborhood Watch" METAL sign was ripped off the telephone pole at the corner...... hmmm, kind of a slap in the face, if you ask me......... Years ago we had a peeping Tom that my dad caught clear up on the front porch peeping into the front windows. My dad told the chief that IF he catches him again that he was gonna put a slug into him. The chief told my dad..."well if you do that, then drag him into your house...then call us." I will never forget that whole story. Makes me wanna sit outside on the front porch with "The Judge"................. THIS all just makes me see RED........................ M

2 thieves were caught yesterday stealing more copper from Oakland park School in broad daylight. Two custodians going there saw them and chased them down and called police.

People get yourselves a couple of those driveway motion detectors and place a couple outside in your yard and place one in your garage. Whoever enters your property will trip these alarms to alert you someone is lurking around. The max range on these is 400ft. Covers a big yard. Next right down on the recievers on where each transmitter is located. So when the detector is tripped, you can look at which receiver is going off and which detector has been tripped. Also install those ir cameras that can see in the dark both outside and inside your home, garage and sheds. That way you can bring up the camera when one of those detectors are tripped to view that area to see if someone is present. The perp won't know he set the motion detectors off, cause the recievers that sets off a tone are in the home for the owner to hear.

Maybe there should be more of NEIGHBOR WATCH going on. Now that it is nice outside, we normally sit outside routinely and pay attention to whom is walking down our road, riding their bikes, and cars going by. It is a shame that people are so desperate that they have to steal/rob people's property that people work hard for.

People have that entitlement mentality. Too lazy to get a job and work for a living. They would rather supplement their assistance with theft.

Glad they caught them. Almost makes you wish they could 'chip' convicted thieves and monitor their whereabouts. Whack them REAL good if they repeat. A couple of years ago we had about 14 places broke into the same night. Garages and unlocked cars, all up and down one little street and alley. He is gone from the Neighborhood now. Why I truly believe in Capital Punishment..........some countries if you get caught stealing, they'll chop off their hand.................. that has my vote!!! I've often wondered IF I would have a hard time blowing anyone away that't I happen to catch come on my property, and steal from me..............(perhaps blow out a kneecap) Things that make me go........hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ? In DD's words, "things to ponder!" M
