Out of curiosity, were very many of you as members, friends, or family sick around or during the week of Easter?
I had a lower respiratory infection with deliriously high fevers ranging above 104.2, We were at a family reunion the day prior of the onset of symptoms, yet no one was sick at the reunion, plus we were outdoors the entire day. DH was out of town for 5 nights while I was sick. This left me home alone with no transportation to see my family Dr. or to go to the ER..... which I really needed.
My reason for asking; it's too late to diagnose which strain of flu I had, and I would like to know if that " New strain of Flu; MERS " ever made it to La Salle Co. and it's symptoms.
Any information would be appreciated.

Any cases MERS in LaSalle co. would have hit the news, as did the other 2 cases. It was stated that it was brought into the states from the middle east.

A few weeks after that he was out again for a week, so I changed his doctor because she again told us it was the "flu" come to find out it was gastritis...

Many folks, think gastritis is the flu, and it turns out, it is probably a bout of food sickness.

any stomach intestinal issues that occur with the flu are usually in children and may not even be from the flu and may just be occurring at same time. Influenza is a respiratory virus

Many folks, think gastritis is the flu, and it turns out, it is probably a bout of food sickness. What aggravates me is when a trained professional diagnoses it not once but twice as the flu without doing any further testing...didn't ask him any questions, nothing...just brushed it off as the flu....it's just annoying
