MnM ... why would you say this? "must not have meant much in life"
There could be many reasons ... No money, elderly out lived thier family, moved here to work or passing thru, unknown by relatives or they too are dead?

We should do away with cemeteries altogether and make cremation the new way of disposing the dead. Less hassle to builders that want to build on a cemetery but cannot until they can find a place to relocate the dead. Cremating people would be cheaper and more humane and free up ground and lesser chance of building over a grave site.
Plus it would make interesting if the part of The 2nd coming of Christ and the rising of the dead To prove that there is life after death. Going to be hard for these people to rise from the dead if their bodies were burned to ash. This would prove whether or not the dead rise up from the graves in the 2nd coming of Christ.

And besides that ,I find it unbelievable that anyone can rise from the dead being sealed in a casket, and cement vault and under 6ft of dirt. Those caskets have a crank seal on them that the funeral director cranks to seal the lid on tight. There is no way anyone would get out of the casket.
They may rise from the dead spiritually ,but not physically.

You, sir really are a douche, where do you come up with this.....crap? Oh and FYI: not all of us believe in the 2nd coming.

Atleast I got a response from these posts.
Fyi: Down in the southern states they bury people under rocks above ground so they can easily move them later if need be. They do this where my cousin lives.

Rocket, i can not contain myself, so be it. You are an idiot. You turn a legitimate question into lunacy. WTH is all I can say about your last couple replies.
FYI, in some areas, such as in the south, New Orleans comes to mind, they don't bury below ground because they are close to or below sea level, water table is close to surface etc..
And if you really want to talk the coming of Christ, i'm pretty sure that if God wants to raise your dead, rotted physical body, he can do it through a sealed casket. Believe in one, why wouldn't you believe he has the power to do so? Never mind, don't actually ask that.
SMH SMH SMH
/annoyance. Carry on

I am trying to make this forum come alive again. Only way to get it going again is post crap that pisses people off to post again. Idk where everyone went to these days but this forum is really close to being permanently dead. No I don't really believe in some of the stuff I post, but it is getting really lonely and boring not to have a place to come to anymore that you can talk to others on.

I've enjoyed reading this thread. It read just like a real life conversation and made me chuckle a few times. We have our cemetery plots already in a nice country cemetery. I've threatened my kids that they should send me to a taxidermist and have me preserved. Then I can rotate from each of their houses when I'm gone. Just set me up in a chair in the corner of a room and I'll be fine.

Streator could have it's own version of Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum. We could use one of the downtown buildings that are empty and all of us can be posed up there once we've been at the taxidermy's place. There could be little placards posted telling about us and what we accomplished in life. I think it could be a big tourist draw and may just be the answer to a lot of problems. Hehehehehehe...

YES there are many reasonings involved, of course there are............... but still though, no marker, no actual FINAL resting place for anyone to even know of.......................it's sad. JMHO M
