You whine about everything. You don't have the nuts to put yourself out there and take the criticism. Plus you couldn't get elected. You just like to b*tch. You're actually a non-factor that should be ignored but you're too stupid to shut your mouth. So I will continue to call you out for being the phony you are. Now go tear a ticket in half if you still have a job. You are probably right. I probably don't have the nuts to put myself out there or take criticism, and I probably couldn't get elected, so there is no sense in my running and taking votes away from another good choice. My work, that you seem so worried about, requires me to travel too much to run for office. You sure seem to really be tracking what I do, did you miss me at the theatre?

You know what I'm talking about. After you've displayed how smart you are time and again don't go stupid on me now.

And I don't miss you at the theater. Getting fired sucks doesn't it. Obviously you are paying attention to when I am there and not there. I didn't get fired; I'll be there over the weekend. The theatre owner and his family have other businesses in other communities. You can think that I just tear tickets if you like though.

You know what I'm talking about. After you've displayed how smart you are time and again don't go stupid on me now. If you are talking about Flagstaff, my investors there were not at all upset with me when I left. They knew of the risks when investing and only put in a small amount compared to me. They were the ones that said that I should just keep the equipment (seats, drapes, screens, etc. in the Majestic now) as opposed to selling to pay them back. No one was fleeced there. If you are talking about the Majestic, we can get into that if you want to, but I feel it was the other way around there. I lived up to my end of the bargain and them some, so I'll be happy to discuss those details if you want to. Just like saying that I got fired, saying that I fleeced anyone is nothing but BS too.

. Kyle said: I attend Council meetings and tell them what I think should be done My 11 year old tells me how she thinks I should run our household, doesn't mean she is right.
Kyle said I volunteered my time as the Neighborhood Watch Community Service Coordinator supervising workers to clean up our parks and city, but was declared an illegal resident when I wasn't. WTH does one have to do with the other?
Kyle said: I volunteered to be on a sign ordinance committee, but was turned down They even know you have no tact and cannot concede that what YOU BELIEVE may not always be what is right, can't say I blame them
Face it Kyle those who can do, DO and those who can't whine and get chickens

I was pointing out that I do not just sit on an online forum complaining about our City. I participate in the process of government. I never expected that they should do everything that I say, but it is not like I haven't asked for some things that I think would be very good for our community. . Kyle said I volunteered my time as the Neighborhood Watch Community Service Coordinator supervising workers to clean up our parks and city, but was declared an illegal resident when I wasn't. WTH does one have to do with the other?
Being declared an illegal resident undermined my ability to do the job and highlighted the City's vindictive nature towards me. . Kyle said: I volunteered to be on a sign ordinance committee, but was turned down They even know you have no tact and cannot concede that what YOU BELIEVE may not always be what is right, can't say I blame them
That was 2008, I hadn't even started publicly talking about the problems then. Is my lack of tact their reasoning for not having an interested person, the very first one to sign up when they made it available, involved in it? Maybe our restrictive sign ordinance is related to the lack of business here. It is interesting that others agree with what I believe is right for our sign ordinance. . Face it Kyle those who can do, DO and those who can't whine and get chickensI turned a long time boarded up building into a first run movie palace. I turned another vacant building into a 5000 sq ft retail store with second floor residences. So where are the people that do? What are they doing? Talk about one thing that has absolutely nothing to do with another, are you jealous that I have chickens that are perfectly within our laws? I've been asking them to allow everyone to be able to have them too. There are already nuisance laws, but eight hens create less noise, waste, and odor than the average dog. There is no reason that everyone shouldn't be able to enjoy fresh eggs from family pets.

I would think that the small local real estate company is on the way out. The trend seems to be selling it on your own, or going with a larger national or regional company that can offer more exposure for the property. Sure Canale's utilized the MLS but bigger companies like ReMax or Century21 could offer more exposure, better connections for financing, etc, than could be offered by small local realtors.

Sure Canale's utilized the MLS but bigger companies like ReMax or Century21 could offer more exposure, better connections for financing, etc, than could be offered by small local realtors. You could be right. It could also be possible that those larger companies know to have their offices in communities where more properties sell, instead of being in Streator. It is interesting that someone said that the realtor(s) from Canale went to another independent office. I had a customer in the Roxy that found out that I am from Streator and asked me what is wrong with Streator. He was staying at his brother's place near Marseilles, but had just sold his Chicago home and had a good chunk of cash that he wanted to use to buy his own place in LaSalle County. He was working with a realtor from a national company's office in a neighboring community who said that she didn't want to sell him a home in Streator because she wanted him to be happy. He said that she told him that if she sold him one of the houses in Streator that are listed at nearly half the price of comparable properties in other nearby communities, that he would end up coming back and complaining to her for not stopping him. He said that she would not provide details, but that he just wouldn't like it here. I wonder if she has the same image of Streator as the people that Derek met at college and people that I met in neighboring communities when trying to promote shows at the Majestic? It is too bad that our reputation keeps some people and their money away. I really think that if our City started doing things differently that it could really be a benefit for the entire community.
