It really does look good in the park. I am glad it too is named for Plumb. My Brother from Cali. comes home every year for the Holidays and commented on it. Said it looks great. You're right, it does look great. I'm looking forward to hearing who will perform this year.

They did a great job mixing up country and rock, but s big band on a Sunday afternoon would be great.

You wouldn't be ignoring my post would you? They have big bands on Saturday nights at the park in Ottawa. You know, where they aren't afraid to allow political speaking.

I don't respond to posts that dont interest me. Sorry. If I took the time to respond to every post from every person it would take a while.

He lives in the San Diego area and volunteers for a series of community concerts out there. I wonder if we could have a regular series booked in for concerts in the park. Maybe 1st and 3rd Saturdays in the Summer.......something. I was thinking they had basically a couple each month last year.

I don't respond to posts that dont interest me. Sorry. I remember you being really interested in building appearances. I thought you were going to start standing up to my claims, what happened? In response to your next post, yes, Ottawa did have big band concerts twice a month I think, they had quite a few. If big bands are what you want to hear, I would think that would be the place to go, unless you are too closed minded to go to a neighboring community. I would hope that people in other communities would be willing to come here as well, our community really needs to be able to rely on more people coming here to be successful. You don't think the Silver Fox expects to survive with only Streator people attending do you?

Your attempt at baiting and taking every single topic your direction shows how increasingly unstable you seem to be. This is not Kyle Online it's Streator Online. This thread is about the band shelter and the planned acts for this year.

Does no one else ever bring other subjects to threads? Are you the SO police now? Please have the administrator of this site let me know that only one subject can be discussed on a thread, and I will take it under advisement.

Now that I think about it I think they announced the acts in April. I just asked the tourism board and they said they will hopefully soon have the list of acts performing there. If I hear from them again I'll post it here. ;-)

Myself, could you get an image of one of those hideous flashing thug lights installed by the city council?? The flashing light would accentuate the plumb thirdamillion and be a tourist magnet. Just a thought.

Wouldn't be cool if they could reach out to former Streator residents who are in bands now. There was one guy who was a guitarist for Gretchen Wilson, I think? Maybe Kevin Chalfant would perform? Bob McGrath is from Grand Ridge.
