So, was there 2 shootings? Men were from Iowa and not children.

Any news story? I don't subscribe to the paper, but how come there is never any news reported? From the Times: The identity of a Streator shooting victim was released Tuesday. Christopher J. Smith, 19, of Clinton, Iowa, was shot Saturday night at 1211 N. Park St. As of Tuesday, Smith was in critical condition at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, according to Streator Police Detective Sgt. Troy Dodge. In connection with the shooting, Marcus D. Blodgett, 22, also of Clinton, was charged with being a felon in possession of a weapon. Dodge said more charges could be filed. Besides Streator Police, the La Salle County State's Attorney's Office and state police crime scene technicians are involved in the investigation.

So, was there 2 shootings? Men were from Iowa and not children. In reporting gun "violence" I do believe they classify victims as children until they are past age 26. How else can you skew statistics in your favor? I don't mean that to come across as crass, but rather factual.

I thought the age at which one is considered a legal adult in the USA is typically at the age of 18.

18 and 19 year olds are still referred to as teenagers but adults . i have never heard of any instances referring to up to age 25 or so as children

18 and 19 year olds are still referred to as teenagers but adults . i have never heard of any instances referring to up to age 25 or so as children When one is between 18-21, they're considered "relative" adults...However, when one files for financial aid for college, they count the parents income until they're 25...They pay taxes at 18, serve and die in wars, become self sufficient(hopefully), yet cannot legally have a beer until 21...Some laws just don't make sense...

My neighbor says the victim is prolly going to be permanently a quadriplegic. You kno, no punishment for the attacker really makes up for that when you had your whole life ahead of you.....
