I never liked the Shirley Temple movies. They seemed creepy and pedophillic to me. A small girl running around in dresses with e hemline at her crotch at a time when WOMEN wouldn't have worn a hem above the knee. creepy.

I understand your sentiments. I don't think most people view a child as anything sexual whatsoever. I know times change. Many people never thought much about a classic baby pose 'bucknaked(stomach down) on a bearskin rug'. They thought it was kind of cute to take a picture of a baby with a naked butt showing. Now Authorities might define that as kiddy porn. That may be defined a bit too severely. I think there is a middle ground. Someone should certainly think twice before taking their kids or grandkids pictures in that sort of a pose, but IF they do, they shouldn't be in fear of facing some kind of horrible charges and getting put on some kind of sexual predator list either. I never thought it was in the best taste, but to each their own. I never regarded children as anything remotely sexual. I don't think most people do, Thank God. Very well put (Masked Man)

I had a crush on her as a kid. Little did I know that she retired the year I was born and had kids my age. I saw her accept the SAG lifetime achievement award in 2006 on TV. She seemed as proud, if not prouder, than her 30 years serving our country on diplomatic assignments. She was the U.S. Ambassador to Czechoslovakia when it went democratic under Havel.

Styles change & little girls wore matching cover-ups under them. It later came back in style for young ladies too, in the early 70's. Parents kept a close eye on their children because of guys that thought the way you do!
