We are considering a Spring Crappie fishing trip __SOUTH__ and are considering the Branson area. We've Crappie fished; the Land Between the Lakes in Kentucky AND had GREAT LUCK catching some Grotesque sized Crappie.... the size of Basketballs. We had NEVER SEEN Crappie of that size in all our years prior Crappie fishing; ANYWHERE ! NORTH or SOUTH.
We would LOVE to get on to a MESS of Crappie the same size during; Actual Crappie OPENER Season.
Does anyone have any "GOOD TIPS" for good "Early Crappie Opener Season" spots? Any GOOD words as to Crappie Opener times in THE Table Rock Area?
I understand with this CRAZY weather that's affecting not only the; Central Plains, the South is going to have an off season this year as well. Compared to what has become the norm in the past few years. Hopefully, Mother Nature is working hard to bring back normalcy and natural aquatics so we may see a return of the normal status in each state of fish limits according to the DNR. Hopefully, RID herself of such things as the Zebra Mussels, Crawfish, and other Lake predators that are wreaking havoc with our Clear Water Aquatic eco system.
I LOVE Winter, SN0, AND the Cold weather...... But; NOW with my BPS, Cabela's, REEDS, and other Season Opener AND ANNUAL Catalog's delivered..... My SOUL and THOUGHTS are READY for; " F I S H I N G " !
I'm READY ! ! !
ALL SUGGESTIONS ___ W I L L___ BE APPRECIATED, ! ! ! !
THANK YOU,
"n"

Back in the 60's I fished Table Rock and downtown Branson. Not much luck w/ crappies. There was a trout fishery just below the dam and we caught some good sized trout that they had let loose. The White River just south of Branson in ARK was GREAT for bass. But I had some really great stringers of crappies, bluegills and bass from Reelfoot Lake in Tenn. Just north of Memphis. www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJDT5WMrY2I
