What do parks and the city and closed car washes have to do with waiting in line at Walmart?

What do parks and the city and closed car washes have to do with waiting in line at Walmart? Of course they are related. If our City started putting a portion of what they do in the park towards economic development, there could be more retail and car wash options here and maybe we wouldn't have to wait as long.

I have to agree with myself in a certain aspect...If Streator still had K-Mart, one would at least have a choice as to whether they wanted to stand in long lines, or take their business elsewhere...The real tragedy is that all of those who lost their jobs at K-Mart have to sit back and wonder "why" they closed the store not even 1 year into the 5 year lease that Sears Holdings still holds at Northpoint...Feildman gets paid for an empty building, members of the community lost their jobs (and unemployment), and the opportunities here in town seem to be disappearing like a fart in the wind... Without steady jobs, folks cannot survive or spend money...How long before WalMart decides it's not worth it in Streator?...IMHO, I give it maybe 5 more years...
