LaSalle County Bulletins & Alerts 10 hours ago. www.facebook.com/LCAlertsMore snow is expected in the area starting on Thursday. Some forecasters are saying a couple of inches, and some have said up to 14 inches. As we all know, our weather is very unpredictable. But when this kind of weather occurs, let's not forget to drive safely, yield to emergency vehicles as they are responding to emergencies which could be an accident, and also watch for snow plows so they can make the roads safer for you. Please use extra precautions and slow down. Keep some small snacks and blankets in the vehicle with you. And as always, do not leave your pets outside in this brutally cold weather, and report to your local police department if anyone has done so. Please also continue to check on the elderly. Be safe! Stay warm! Wonder what weather office is reporting that much snow? I haven't heard any of them talking about possibly receiving up to 14" of snow in our area. Except for the ohio valley area.

Atlanta GA kids stayed overnight at schools yesterday, because they couldn't get home...freeways turned into parking lots with abandoned cars?

Friend of mine in Georgia said her sister left work at 12:30 and didn't get home until after 6:30. It's only a 1.5 mile drive.

That was the way it was when I lived in Florida, I drove all over the place like it was a normal day, but just about everyone else just left their cars right where they stopped..... It was surreal for sure.
Atlanta only got 1" to 3", even for southerners, that shouldn't freak them out too bad.

I'm optimistic on the amount of snow ch 7 is showing for our area on Saturday. Starting Thursday afternoon into Friday and into Saturday, total snow fall amounts could be near 10" over our area. Then they are watching another system for Tuesday on where it tracks. Could be another doozy of a snow storm.

Channel 7 always comes up with crazy amounts. When you check AccuWeather, who they partner with, it doesn't show anything near what they are predicting on TV. I think they like to get people talking to get more people to tune in.
