Anyone know if they will be offering their place as a warming shelter for tonight into Wednesday,Due to the wind chills possibly getting down to -45 below? The other night the power went out, and I quickly got us into the vehicle to stay warm until the power came on again.

Just got back from a store run and was wondering why none of the vacant churches have been turned into warming centers...If Streator were to lose power on a large scale during this cold spell, the YMCA wouldn't be big enough to accommodate the needs of so many people... I hope everyone is prepared, and that we manage to get through the next couple of days without incident...

I was wondering why churches or the salvation Army don't open their doors for warming centers. It was a nice offer of the YMCA the other day.
