Call the company phone number on the truck and complain to them,Give the the license plate number of the truck,if not the trailer plate number and possibly getting the truck number on the side of the cab. And report that to that company what you observed the driver doing. With that info on the truck provided to the company, they will know who the employee is that is breaking the traffic laws. Or call police and give the info to them. I know that once the company has this info to identify the employee, that that employee may get reprimanded ,suspended or terminated.
Why do you think they put on trailers now saying "how is my driving call ####".

If they start tagging a few of the worst offenders, won't it get the rest of them to cool their jets a little bit? Doesn't that work the other way too? If they know they won't get ticketed here, don't the rest of them know too? I think that is the problem with the fighting in the streets. They know that there are no consequences. Maybe if a couple of the fighters started taking rides in police cars, the rest of them would cool their jets.

I just expect a professional driver to drive safely, professionally and perhaps even with some measure of courtesy. Am I way off here? The fines for Trucks are a lot higher than cars. Good luck finding that in today's trucking environment. The major companies due to a lack of qualified drivers have dumbed down the industry to where they can hire morons that can't drive cars and put them in trucks. They basically know how to turn every switch on in the truck, put the automatic in forward and drive forward. Courtesy is a thing of the past on the roads in general, everybody is either texting, talking, or doing whatever...anything other than driving. It boils down to you have idiots teaching idiots to drive, whether it be the trucking industry or high school drivers ed. Hauling sand is generally pretty low on the pay scale for trucking, so they are going to try to make it up by running as quickly as possible to make the most amount of loads in a shift. That is no excuse for reckless driving however. If you are tagged with a CDL for tailgating or speeding more than 16 over the posted limit an automatic suspension is involved, so law enforcement needs to do their job.

Back when Modern was hauling sand to OI there were a few who pushed it, but nothing like what is running today.

Not just them driving crazy but some others hailing regular trailers too. Several times coming up on e bridge. To turn left onto park several trucks turned from middle lane right as I was in left lane almost hitting me. These trucks did not turn their signals on ahead of time to let others know they would be making their wide turn. They were already turning and THEN put the turn signals on.

Modern is still running sand and there is a local guy driving for them and he always runs the stop signs in Morrell and Everett Intersections, its easier to tell how many times he has stopped to how many times he runs it.

South is posted with a weight limit and the roadway is tar & chip, it would not support 80k loads. The city is collecting their share of revenue from the sand hauling, why should Otter Creek Township taxpayers have to pay for it? Same goes for Livingston Rd., city is collecting the revenue so why should Reading Twp. taxpayers have to pay for a destroyed road? Just a hint, maybe somebody with some time and a video camera could record some of this bad driving & post it on YouTube, make sure you get the drivers face and name on the door of the truck when you do it. A lot of the sand trucks are owned by local farmers.

Cause central steel trucking comes that way to vactor with loads of steel and that has to weigh more then 80,000 lbs on it. Sometimes even ruan trucking will go that route to vactor instead of them going 18 west to downtown south on 23 and back east on Livingston rd.

That piece of airport rd if I am not mistaken is posted to 5 tons. Those truckers hauling that steel to vactor must weigh around 16tons.

I don't think I have ever seen a semi pulled over in town over the last 35 years. I asked a cop once why they don't pull them over for speeding and he said they were told not to because they weren't supposed to check their log books. I said don't, just ticket them for speeding and I got no response.

LOL, That's the one I was thinking of, not exactly a full blown ignore of the sign, but enough that you sure don't want to trust it and pull forward after you have made your complete stop....... He will stop, begrudgingly if you go ahead as is your right. He is nothing like these idiots though, they are flat dangerous.
