Message I got from Mediacom:
Hello,
There is an issue with some Motorola cable boxes in our Iowa and Illinois markets this morning. This is currently being working on so we hope to see this resolved soon. I do apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

I have freed myself of cable or satellite television. I stream my programming now and it costs me $14 a month. I get all the Chicago networks through my antenna.
It's the way to go. Why pay for all those channels that you don't watch? Or, don't work?

On Tuesday when we returned home there was a "Sorry! we did not find you at home." paper notice from Mediacom on our door. On the back was a handwritten note that says, " We detected that your modem for your internet might be having issues due to low signal. please call in to schedual a tech to come out and fix signal issue. Thank you." We thought this was somewhat strange, as we'd had no noticeable changes, and had not called anyone. Have any of you had this happen?

TNT was out for awhile earlier today while I was watching Bones. ( I think that was the channel) anyway, screen went black and a message said it was low signal problem. Only that channel though. And then the picture came back on but didn't have sound for it for while after that
