Freedom Christian Church is a ministry of freedom Christian Ministries. Pastor Rodney Kreier is a graduate of Lincoln Christian University and has served as a youth pastor, youth sponsor, an elder, deacon, and preacher in local congregations. He has 18 years of ministry experience and loves the Lord with all of his heart. He also serves on the Streator Youth Development Committee, The Salvation Army advisory board, Streator Communications Network, The Streator Ministerial Association, and is Part-Time Faculty at Illinois Valley Community College.
Pastor Rob Di ckman has also attended Lincoln Christian University, been a youth pastor in Aurora Illinois, served as a deacon in a local Congregation and serves on the Streator Youth Development Committee. Rob is employed full-time by Petsmart. He has 18 years of ministry experience and loves the Lord with all of his heart.
Rob and Rodney have a heart for youth and want to reach both old and young with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We preach from the Bible and believe it to be the authority in all matters of faith and practice. We reject man made rules and regulations and just wish to follow the Scriptures.
Rodney has been a Streator resident his whole life and Rob has been for 25 years or more.
I hope this answers at least some of your concerns with our credibility. Thanks for your interest.

What exactly does that mean? We don't obey speed limits? We marry off girls at twelve? I know as a church it DEFINITELY means we don't pay TAXES... It just sounds a bit funny to me to hear Since I had not ever heard that opinion when I was growing up in my middle of the road baptist or methodist church I started looking around and found this.... So, clearly Paul said we are to pay taxes... and he also says Governments are ordained BY God and they SERVE Gods will. Mayny folks try to use religion to further their own political views. The churches I attended in childhood were very apolitical as I feel a church SHOULD be. I found the quote from Romans here: rcg.org/articles/scstga.htmlCheck it out. I think it will explain WHY religion and politics are very separate things.

Freedom Christian Church might be the answer to my husbands and I constant battle of the churches. I was raised catholic, my husband southern baptist and we have no clue on an open bible church to attend. We have been worshiping at home with my favorite minister Joel Olsteen. Think we will check it out as our 2 mini humans need bible study and an physical church instead of a tv minister. Dont get me wrong I will still watch Joel Olsteen the guy is awesome but to worship with others is a great idea.

What I mean is that we reject Man made rules and regulations that Churches impose on themselves and their congregations. For example, a rule in some Churches may be that you should not wear a hat in Church... now is that a rule found in the Bible or is it someones opinion on what is disrespectful? The song "Come as You are" is sung in many churches... some people may come in baseball hats... does that mean that they have committed a sin? We are not saying that we shouldn't follow the laws of our government because the scripture is clear, as you quoted, that we are supposed to follow the laws of our government. Our government exempts churches from paying taxes but we as individuals are clearly expected to pay our taxes according to scripture. I hope this clears up the statement... and thank you for your interest.

I'd stop typing if I were you.
Your little experiment has or will have man-made rules just like every other Christian congregation.
