Kent St., Streator, were arrested each on a complaints of delivery of heroin. They were taken to jail. Tyler Deshean Skerett, 19, 115 W. Hickory St., Streator, was arrested Thursday on complaints of delivery of heroin and possession of heroin with intent to deliver. He was taken to jail.
Congrats on getting 4 heroin dealers off the street.
I still think our town should consider pulling out of Tri-dent and start our own drug task force. Trident would still investigate here too but it would allow us to concentrate solely on our town. Also any money and property seized by our own task force would stay here instead of being split up between all those in trident.

Don't have enough officers to implement this and have extra officers for the regular patrols while the other officers involved in the drug task force. If we did have the manpower for this, hopefully there would be enough officers to start up a gang task force as well to combat gangs.
I here that the gang task force in other cites near Chicago area a big success in cutting down gang problems, except for Chicago itself.

Fot, You make it sound so easy. This poor excuse of a police force , cannot even bust drug transaction participants in the park, in plain view. We do not need another Gestapo, like the one being run by the SA on route 80.

FOT, People can complain all they want about how it was done, who did it, or whatever. Usually it's the same ones who have nothing but complaints about all forms of government, City, State and Federal. They don't want to pay ANY form of TAXES, yet they expect EVERY form of Government to supply the service they request or expect. I'm with you FOT, I'm happy the dealers were arrested! Lowlife "criminals" dealing drugs, are sucking away our dollars and killing people with their dope. Do people really think the individuals buying what the dealers are selling is purchased with dollars they earned with an "honest job"? I'd much rather pay for the incarceration of these "dealers", than to reduce my Tax's and see these "dealers" continue to walk the streets and alleys of Streator and surrounding communities. Oh, some seem to know it should have been done without "tax dollars" being spent, certainly not on the SPD. Thank you to all involved shutting down these dealer. I consider my tax dollars well spent in this operation. g

I believe what needs to be done are laws need to be rewritten and any person convicted of selling, intent to sell, trafficking, possession of a large quantity, production, etc should automatically receive a minimum 20 year sentence with no parole. Get these people off the street and keep them off the street.

How about re-instating the death penalty and instead of a slap on the wrist to hardly any prison time, reform the sentences given to the death penalty on any criminal crime committed. And all non criminal crimes get prison time. I bet we have a lot more violent crimes then the non violent types. Rape ,murder, ect, should all be reformed to death penalty sentences. There would be alot more room in the prisons if they did that. And would be lesser people to pay for.

We need a better job to be done by the States Attorney and Judges. We need to elect people who will be tough on crime and give La Salle County a reputation as a no nonsense county.

We need to elect people who will be tough on crime and give La Salle County a reputation as a no nonsense county. hmm i thought Brian Towne was already doing this. oh yeah, i forgot,he condones illegal activities by his posse. and to anyone who wants to dispute this take a look at the Dana Holmes case and research the law. It is not against the law to be mouthy and from what the video shows she wasnt being violent when the perverts took her down and if they did this because of something she said then shame on "the good ole boys" brcause talk is cheap but a federal lawsuit is not. Thanx alot guys, now we will pay because u perverts wanted to see alittle TNA. WHAT A FREAKIN JOKE!!!!!
