I cannot wait for that place to open & see what it looks like after the renovating is 100% done, I think that will make a positive image for Streator. Also wanna give Kudos to the people who bought it & have taken the time/effort to bring another vacancy back to life!! Also like the spiders they have as Halloween decor on the building..lol

It's great to see some more investment in a downtown building.

On their web site, it says there's parking. But, not valet. Could someone please tell me where the parking is? Looking for a venue for an upcoming event.

Wow! It's absolutely gorgeous. I love how they maintained the integrity of the time period and refinished it perfectly.
Who bought this? I hope that people support it and utilize it!

Where are all of these people going to park? Walgreens is a private lot. There are always tourists checking out the bandshell and familily memorial, on the park. The city should look into reserving some for the tourists.

Couldnt have said it better, & if it wasnt for you I dont think our theatre would be as grand as it is today That theatre would have been long gone had it not been for my father and his best friend Butch Lux helping him ..fight the City to save it back in the '60's. Yes alas it was slated for demolition and you guessed it...yet another parking lot downtown. When my dad bought it, it had been sabotaged big time to the tune of them even pouring concrete down the toilets. The whole place was in pretty bad shambles, but my dad had a dream to save it, and he did...single handed. Now...as far as the Silver Fox........... congrats to all involved here to bring that building back to life. LOVE.......the huge spiders crawling all over the building too as well, lol. M

The city should look into reserving some for the tourists. Where are all these people going to park? There is plenty of FREE parking all around the downtown area. You're probably too young to remember when the downtown area was bustling. There were more people coming downtown and finding parking spaces than there will be at the Silver Fox. The people may have to walk a couple of blocks, but so what? It gives them a chance to walk by the store fronts of all the businesses. Maybe the person that walks past that store will see something in the window that will bring them back the next day to shop or if the shop is open, they may bop in really quick and make a purchase. The Silver Fox is awesome. I hope they do well. It's places like this that can be a piece to a downtown revitalization!! And, dare I say, it adds a bit of class to the downtown as well. With the beautiful band shelter within eyes view of the Silver Fox, it helps raise the bar of how out of towners will perceive our little town. We should all applaud the efforts of those who transformed the Masonic Temple Lodge. Something that was basically left for nothing, yet people with vision stepped up and made their vision a reality!!

I think people will find a place to park, hopefully just not in front of fire hydrants. I would like to add that I think they are taking a big chance, one that wouldn't be so big with some changes here. A big Thank You to them for taking that chance on our downtown.

With someone like you having a business in the downtown area the owners of The Silver Fox certainly are taking a big chance. Don't do something to screw it up for them, i.e. leave them alone.

Since you weren't smart enough to figure out the word game, let me explain, I was agreeing with you. If you are trying to pick a fight again so that you can start your insults and name calling, make unfounded claims, disappear, and then go back later and delete your posts, why not just head back to the thread that you started specifically for that, instead of doing it here? As I've said many times, it is my son's business, not mine. He gets a lot of compliments and with many competitors throughout the Times readership area was voted 2nd Best Resale Shop.
