Tony Lee Cloninger did it in 1966 for the Braves in a 17-3 win over the Gaints. His BA was just a touch below the Mendoza Line. (.197)

The ball player was a pretty good outfielder and and had a good bat. BUT! During the Red Sox "Impossible Dream" season of 1967, he was hit in the face by a pitch, causing a severe eye injury and derailing his career. Though he would make a dramatic comeback from the injury, his career was not the same afterwards.

I know this one. Tony Conigliaro. I remember the sports illustrated cover showing that nasty eye.
Vote for Lansford. 4 more years.

I was asked by my league president and good friend to buy and move my Milwaukee Brewers St. Paul Saints south. I was managing the Reds at the time.

That's right Willy. Ban Johnson was good friends w/ Charlie (The OLD Roman) and had him buy and move the team to Chicago when he took oover the Western League. AKA American League. Who is the only Canadian in the Baseball Hall of Fame?

You're probably right with Clemons, but I'll guess Randy Johnson.

Rodger Clemons is right. He won SEVEN Cy Youngs in Boston, Toronto & Houston. Two champ rings in Yankeeland, but no Cy Young. Will he become the next Pete Rose to not get into the HOF due to PED use?

When he was with Philly, I watched him take grounders at 1st for a 1/2 hour and never missed a ball. He was simply a baseball player who played everyday and hard each play. I hope he gets in. I know the rules say no, but there's worse things than gambling. Remember when Karras and Hornung were banned from the NFL for a year for betting on their games? Pete always bet on his team to win.
