You're right. 1959 World Series was played by the Chicago White Sox and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Dodgers won.

Me? Cubs fan inspired by Jack Brickhouse. And by Mom with Harry Carey.

I'm thinking that Kris Bryant may be the best third baseman in Cubs history. Yes. Better than Santo. More of the combination of defence and hitting that I saw from Brooks Robinson.....except he is better.

born July 5, 1950), nicknamed Sarge, is an American former left fielder in Major League Baseball. He was a color commentator for the Philadelphia Phillies.[1] From 1972 through 1987, He played for the San Francisco Giants, Atlanta Braves, Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago Cubs and Seattle Mariners. He batted and threw right-handed. He is the father of a former major leaguer. He and his son were the 14th father-son combination to appear in an All-Star Game, as his father took part in the 1979 game. (This could be a good MLB question. Name as many father/sons as you can. I'll go with Bonds, Berea and Griffey.) I don't know if this is too difficult. I know that I would be clueless, but I'm watching the Cubs and he threw out the first pitch. Also, he's my age and started his baseball career with the Giants in 1972.

The only one I can think of with the name Sarge is Gary Mathews.

What does the Mississippi river have to do with Radio call letters?

West of the river the call letters start with a "K". East they start with "W". There are a few exceptions, like KDKA in Pittsburgh.

World's Greatest Newspaper World's Greatest Store Yes, WGN stands for World's Greatest Newspaper (Chicago Tribune) But WLS stands for World's largest Store. Sears Here's some more information. Sears broadcast test transmissions from its own permanent studios on April 9, 10 and 11, 1924, using the call sign WES (for "World's Economy Store"). On April 12, 1924, the station commenced officially, using the call letters WLS (for "World's Largest Store"); and on April 19, aired its first National Barn Dance.[1] Sears originally operated its station at its Chicago headquarters on Chicago's West Side where the company's mail order business was located. Sears then moved the WLS studios into the Sherman House hotel in downtown Chicago.[12]

I'm guessing Telstar or Walk Don't Run by the Ventures. I know the song from Paint your Wagon, sung by Lee Marvin knocked the Beatles off a chart in England but that was much later.

Once again I read the question wrong. I thought you asked for a song with no words. I think I'd have guessed this one, it was on WLS constantly, the summer of my graduation from SHS. Although hearing it all the time I don't remember ever seeing it performed on the tv.

Okay, it's World Series time let's talk about cross town rivals played in the World Series.
We all know that there have been cross town teams in New York. A lot. There was also the SF/OAKLAND earthquake series in 1989.
I'll even toss out the all Missouri series Royals/Cards series.
But...there was one more city that had a crosstown series.
Who? What city?
