Anyone else have their yard vandalized last night in Thomas addition?I am so pi$$ed right now.Sometime between 12:30 am and 5:30 am someone destroyed the pumpkins my grandaughter and I grew and decorated the yard with. I have never had anyone bother anything before, really your kids are running the streets at this hour, ridiculous! Guess I'll have to put razor blades or nails in the next ones.

Kids these days think vandalizing is nothing more than a Halloween prank. Back in my days the only thing kids did was toilet paper or soap windows.
I got decorations for outside and reluctant to put them up in fear of having them vandalized or destroyed,or stolen.

Putting RAZOR BLADES or NAILS in Your Pumpkins will ONLY get YOU PUT IN JAIL. Nice that YOU would think of PUTTING YOUR OWN Granddaughter in HARMS WAY like that. Just takes a Split SECOND for a Child to grab it and hurt Themselves. THINK BEFORE YOU DO SOMETHING STUPID.

This spawn of Streator must be what the citizens are so proud of. This act of character building, must have been leaned in organized sports and band. Wait, school spawn, would be home studying and reading their hymnals, for the weekend.

Why is IT ALWAYS Kids that get blamed for DESTRUCTIVE behavior? I know and have seen ADULTS that are MORE destructive than any Kid I've known. STOP BLAMING Kids if You don't know for sure if it was KIDS.

It could not be older citizens, they all have jobs and would be enjoying the good life, that one would expect from Crimetown. We should be SO Proud!

This is why when we did do our Halloween yard FOR the kids to enjoy...we learned along time ago and would literally fence in the whole front yard with 6 ft. high fencing. In all the years in doing that the only things that we did end up getting stolen were one of our oldest dummies "Gorry" who was hanging from a noose from one of the trees, his feet were just close enough to the fence that they reached through and ripped him down. One year someone reached in through another side of our fence and managed to rip off wolfman's head as he sat on a bench chained with logging chains and shackles. I tell you...nothing is safe let alone respected at all. We'd always leave ALL the Halloween spotlights and other lights on all night long...and we were always on "yard guard" throughout the whole night. Pretty nerve-racking that we'd have to do that though. Good luck to anyone who has anything decoration-wise out in their yards......... M

Exactly,Rocket we toilet papered soaped car windows,my kids did the same thing that just kind of goes along with the Halloween tradition, spooning was another one now that was funny. It's a whole lot different destroying a persons belongings, thats just mean.If these were $2.88 pumpkins from walmart not as big a deal.Like I said we planted these from seed ,watched them grow ,my granddaughter helped me put them in the wagon and sat in there with them and helped me put them out for some idiot to come along and trash them. And as for my granddaughter I am perfectly capable of supervising her unlike alot of today's parents.

Had it happened to us last year with pumpkins only in broad daylight . I happened to be in living room saw it kids started running they lived in neighborhood . I followed them then their mother came to my door with the kids and made them clean up the mess. All I have to say is way to go Mom.

I taught my kids IF they EVER destroyed anyones property they would be take'n back to them (after I put my Foot in their tushes)and then they WILL clean it up I don't believe in TP'n or soap'n widows...because they all are forms of vandalizing... my children's carved pumpkins were stomped to pieces a few years ago...how dare someone come up in my yard and do that ....we don't live in a close neighborhood and they were lucky they left my yard in without bruises...NO trespassing MEANS just that...
