A suggestion for the betterment of the night. Allow cars that don't want to cruise to park in the city park. That way the owners can protect their investment. Those that want to can still cruise downtown and park on main st. This would allow less congestion downtown on main st and people could walk both areas to see the cars.

There are some people that park around the city park. There aren't many lights around there. Maybe they could just have them cruise the last hour or two at night. That way people can walk in the middle for the street when it's light to check out the cars. Some car shows do this as their finale.

Cruise night is nothing like the 1966 to 1968 era when I was in high school.
Those were the days.
This is too commercialized. Like going to a zoo or circus.

But cruise night was every Friday and Saturday night in the 60's and 70's.. I wouldn't have a problem with the kids hanging out uptown on the weekends again......

I think someone suggested a couple of years ago, to have cars park on the side streets(Monroe,Vermillion, and Sterling, and have 2 lanes of cruising down Main St, and one lane on Bridge and Hickory to start the loop again.
