East Peoria 22, Streator 14: Despite Nick Harcar’s 173 yards rushing on seven carries, the host Bulldogs dropped their season opener as East Peoria scored all its points in the second quarter.
Streator led 14-7 on Harcar TD runs of 59 and 64 yards. But East Peoria took the lead with a two-point conversion after Corbin Lenaway recovered a blocked punt in the end zone.

While Ottawa and Yorkville struggled offensively throughout the night, fans got a lot of good defense from both sides, but the Foxes special teams was just a touch — or rather a point — better than the Pirates Saturday night for a 17-16 overtime victory to kick off the 2013 season a night after severe storms delayed the two teams.
