Looking to see who has what service provider and how they would rate their provider. We now have Sprint and the service is terrible in this area and getting worse. We all have IPhone 4S (came free with contract) and was now told that Sprint and IPhones may not be a good combination regarding their towers(not sure how true this may be). We are getting text and voicemail hours, even a day later when being sent/called, it is very frustrating for what we pay (for 4 phones). Thanks in advance for any input....considering changing providers but wanted to ask before pursuing this.

I just went with Straight Talk a couple of months ago after being with TMobile for 7 yrs. I have had not one issue with Straight Talk so far. It is only 45.00 a month for unlimited everything. I was paying 115.00 with TMobile. When I bought my phone, the worker at Walmart told me that different phones run off different towers.

my old phone used sprint and was terrible. Switched to a straight talk phone that uses verizon and have had no problems. BTW, different straight talk phones use different services, check your package. Will have a letter that shows which one it uses. Get one that uses sprint won't be any help.

Yes, it depends on where you live on what phone to get. Because I live in La Salle, he told me to get a phone that used Verizon towers. There was a V on the phone package.

We switched from AT&T to VERIZON on the first of the year. Have never been happier with our service. I personally only have dropped a few calls (Out of state) and we have 3G in Streator, LTE almost everywhere else.
Another person on our plan had straight talk but the phone was junk. Be careful what you buy, don't go cheap!

Be careful what you buy, don't go cheap! Mine was a nice Samsung $200 phone on ST. It wasn't cheap. The whole thing is to know what towers each phone uses. The nice shiny phone I bought was on Sprint towers......bad bad bad move. They just don't work well in our area. You have to make sure the phone you buy is on something with some credible service in our area. Verizon is good. I would guess AT&T is OK too. I just bought a new ST phone tonight. It works on the Verizon system. Stay tuned for a review...... He bought a Samsung as well. One of the Galaxy series phones (Don't remember which one). I have heard great reviews of the new ones (S3 & S4). Perhaps the one he got was just a fluke in manufacturing.

I'm unfortunately stuck with Sprint for two more years. My husband and I spent two hours in the Ottawa store along with a few other couples complaining about the service. You're pretty much screwed over. I have a new Samsung G4. I get internet about 8 hours in a day. My phone reception is fair. I would fill up the next few pages if I told you the complete conversation with the Sprint sales rep. They're pretty selling phones, knowing Sprint service in Streator is poor. Go Verizon.

I had a nokia Straight talk phone and I hate that phone but my hubby got me a Straight talk Iphone 4s ...the service is good, it doesn't drop phone calls and I was surprised how fast the internet on that thing works...

Mine is just the Samsung Straight Talk 100.00 phone, the cheapest one they had. Works just fine. Cell phones mean nothing to me though except I have to have one for work.
