Shadow the Tracks where THERE BEFORE YOU MOVED INTO that property. The Rail yard in Question has been in Streator since the Late 1800's. Vince Lucky provides over 200 Jobs in the Town of Streator between his Warehouse and his Terminal Operations and I can say with CERTAINTEE his Property Tax Bills are a lot MORE than you will ever pay in a Year. He also Started that company with 1 truck less than 40 Years ago and now is one of the Larger Chemical Haulers in the Nation. So I think he as the CEO of a Multimillion Dollar Corporation has a lot more to do worrying about say his EMPLOYEES Payroll Complying with EVERY FEDERAL and STATE Agency they deal with and also get this oh yeah shall we say surviving in an Industry that runs on a 2% profit Margin than worrying about some people that DID NOT LOOK AROUND THEM BEFORE THEY MOVED INTO A HOUSE IN A DEAD END TOWN.

Guess you should have researched if you just moved in . Don't know if you did but I am sure you knew because all you have to is to look .that has been going on for awhile.

I don't live in that area but if I did and the operation moved in after I already lived there I would feel the same way that Shadow does. I guess it is ok as long as it isn't in your back yard. At this point he is stuck there because his property value went way down. How is this ok?

People, I was here way before the trucking op started. It was very peaceful here and very quiet for several years until luckey started the operation. If you lived here you would not be kissing his A S S, talking about the jobs he created, you would be bitching about the noise like I have been for several years, 4 years to be exact. I moved to this area in 2002.
If ya don't live in this area the SHUT THE F--k ok. You have NO clue what its like here, NONE....There are many other places to put a operation like that. Why in the middle of a neighborhood.

I wonder what you would have done when there was a coal yard with semi traffic all day back before Bodznick Fields was ever there. Between semis and trains loading and unloading coal it was quite noisy then too.

Also shadow here is something to THINK about each one of those cars weighs 140 TONS that they are removing Product From and it is Lucky Trucking that ORDERED THOSE CARS to Custom Blend the Plastic Resins that are IN THEM for their Customers NEEDS. That's Right each car there has a Different Blend in it and Vince has made one HUGE niche hauling MEDICAL and FOOD grade Plastics that are CUSTOM BLENDED to Customer Specs right to the Factory. Vince has Also PAID for the Railroads in this town to build the tracks he needed for those Hoppers to be in place so he can do what he needs to do. BTW he has been doing this in the Old Santa Fe Yard since the Late 90's and started at the NS Yard in 2001.
I hate to think what your feelings would be of Carriage House Foods or Owens with all the Truck traffic they Have in a Residential Area. BTW unless you want all jobs out of Streator Totally called Stop Bitching about a little Noise. Most PTO Blowers run at less than 90 DB's which is Less than a freaking TV anymore.

Being in an area longer does not give you control of what happen next door, as long as it's legal. What a concept, eh shadow? g

I live near Owens on a residential street posted NO Trucks. But I get mamny many semi trucks a day pass in front of my house. I have not complained yet. I would like to. I am about 1 block of the Santa Fe RR and Lucky's trucks don't bother me.
It is unusual to mix this plastic pellet though. The GE plant in Ottawa had several bad dust explosions from moving this plastic bead from semi trucks to storage bins. Tramp metal or some foreign material caused an explosion. Dust explosions are possible. I would be 100 to 200 feet away when they are mixing or moving the plastic bead.
Fires are possible after the dust explosion. This plastic bead can explode just like grain explosions.
OSHA could give you the best advice. I am not giving advice on this forum.

The local truck drivers are the ones driving on those streets "everett and wasson st that's posted no trucks between Bronson and broadway st. They rather risk taking a shortcut then to go all the way around. And second the city needs to put up bigger truck route signs so we can see them. They are so small that I can't see them when I am doing deliveries. Only time I found the signs is when I am in my personal vehicle driving around. Maybe with those signs being small is also the other reason why these trucks are driving on roads that trucks are prohibited on. Put signs measuring 24"x 24" up,which is 2ft x 2ft in size. Well big enough for all truck drivers to see if they are installed in the right place.

Hey ironeagle, this is a little snippet out one of your replies on SO in red I moved out of Streator for 2 things to get the HELL out of IL and Streator and to get where my Kids had a chance to have a FUTURE WHICH THEY NEVER WOULD HAVE IN STREATOR WITH THE GOOD OLD BOYS RUNNING THE CITY INTO THE GROUND FASTER THAN THE STATE look familiar And you are trying to tell me what I should do? ?? You fluking COWARD, you moved out of Streator cause you could not face the problems or do anything about them. You GD screwball. Glad you moved, now maybe we can grow. We got to keep COWARDS like ironeagle the hell out of Streator IL. I am gonna stay face all this this. The main reason I started this post was to try to get help on this matter. I was looking for a brainiac but got so many egomaniacs like ironeagle thinking they had the answer. I could care less if luckey is legal or not pays taxes or not, being legal and paying his taxes does not cover over the inhumane noise the operation gives out. I care about the quality of life around my neighborhood and your neighborhood too. Again ironeagle screw you ya fu--ing COWARD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!next time let your mommy or daddy help you with a reply ok

Shadow the Reasons Why I left IL where Simple. AKA my Wife got a Promotion in ANOTHER State that paid 20K more than she was getting in IL. Name one person that would have Stayed in the Good Old Boy Network City of Streator and the Cesspool that is IL when offered a Chance like that. Huh can anyone say they would have Stayed and REFUSED that job plus oh yeah we got Better Schools things to do within 2 miles of the HOUSE that include 2 City Owned Pools Multiple Parks that are CLEAN and NOT full of Graffiti and other Leavings of Thugs.
My Wife and I ruined our Credit in the move why we had to Short Sell our house and the person that was going to buy it Backed out AFTER WE MOVED out and down HERE. Meaning we are being FORECLOSED ON. I lost Everything to move here so you shadow can take your Attitude and shove it where the Sun Does not shine and in Fact Shove it up the CITY OF STREATORSassWITH IT. The next time I come up to that cesspool will be when my Parents die to close their Estates not before.

Yes there is a legal truck route for them to enter and leave. The trucks entering and leaving have absolutely nothing to do with the noise problem here. We do not hear the trucks entering and leaving. What we hear is, the blower units on the trucks as they are blowing or vacuuming product to and from the railcars..

So where is this perfect city that you moved to. Does it have a name. Is it Shangri-La, LOL.. If you live in a town with no graffiti and perfect schools, a pool and no thugs then that is a 1 family town that you live in with a pool in the back yard, with home schooled kids. Why don't you call it ironeagle city
