Kaupp — previously a head coach at Gridley High School and the longtime defensive coordinator for FCW — said he won't be making any drastic changes to the offense while recently suspended head coach Ryan Pearson's status is decided by F-C's administrators and school board.

The assistant can't tread water for long and the kids need to have some closure so that they can readjust to things.

The Pantagraph said that FCW made the DC the "interim" HC.
