Hello Everyone! I found a dog tied up in our neighbor's yard, he couldnt move because his long leash was tangled, so I moved him and put him on a tie-out stake. The neighbors are gone and others dont know about him at all. Description: carmel colored, looks like a Weimaraner hunting dog, about 60 lbs. collared, and has a long red lead he is attached to. Friendly, and doesnt bark or whine unless troubled. Has green rabies tag ( too dark to read it yet) If You recognize this dog , please reply on S.O.L. Thanks! Bob W. P.S. Police have not received a missing dog report

If the tag is green and it is a LaSalle county tag, it is outdated. Most likely from 2011 because 2012 county tags are red heart shaped. The owner info can be tracked by calling local vets offices and giving them the 4 digit code on the tag, when you can read it. I'm not sure by your post if this dog belongs to your neighbors or if you're saying the dog was running loose and his leash got tangled up in something and he couldn't get free.

Thanks for your input. Other neighbor texted person who's back yard dog was found in . no reply. Those people have never had a pet and they are out of town. highly unlikely it is theirs. I'll try to get the tag info in A.M. Meanwhile he is fed, watered, has a rug and a way to get out of the rain if necessary. B.W.
