SHOW ME THE MONEY!! The family of former Chicago Bears player Dave Duerson filed a wrongful-death suit against the NFL on Thursday, claiming the league didn't do enough to prevent or treat the concussions that severely damaged his brain before he killed himself last year. msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/dave-duersons-family-sues-NFL-over-suicide-022312WOW!! The NFL forced him to play football It doesn't take a genius to know that football,or hockey,or boxing,or auto racing can cause injuries or death.. How about people standing up and taking on their own responsibility instead of passing the blame

lots of past NFL players are gathering together to start a class action suit against the NFL. i can see both sides of the fence since most NFL players do not have a guaranteed contract. if a team thinks they are really hurt they can be cut at the end of the season. a good example of this is Peyton Manning his guaranteed contract was up last season.

Did he sign a contract to agree to play in the NFL?
Did he accept pay checks for his work and cash the checks?
If the family thought he could be seriously injured then why did they let him play?
Let's be real, the family is suing the NFL because they need the money.

They are just now finding out what all these shots to the heads of the NFL players are really doing to their brains. It's not fair to sue the NFL after all of these years when everyone, including the players and families were not aware what would happen to these guys when they retire. One day the NFL will be nothing more than touch football.
