Today Texas Governor and G'Tea'P Presidential hopeful Rick Perry will lead thousands of extremists in prayer and to Jesus. The G'Tea'P messiah and prophet planned the day-long prayer/fast god-fest and "response" to the crises that have besieged America. Perry has invited his special kindred spirits that include the likes of John Hagee and Bryan Fischer to pray for America's salvation.
President Obama and the rest of America will not be attending.

While 4iam is as big a dufus as Rick Perry, I do have to follow in the sense that I would rather not have a President that "Jesus" leads any more than I would like one that "Black Liberation Theology" leads......
Seems like one is equally as dangerous as the other.

I'm not really sure what the outrage with this one is for. If he wants to do this as a citizen, then it's his First Amendment right to free exercise of religion, which politicians are entitled to as much as you and I are. Unless there is some excessive entanglement between the State of Texas and this exercise of religion, then I see no cause for concern. It's one thing if state tax dollars are being spent on the event, or if the state is specifically endorsing the prayer event/rally, which in both cases would violate the Establishment Clause as I see it, but absent any excessive entanglement, then I still find that he has every right to engage in open displays of faith as an American citizen.

I don't want someone running the country that believes in Armageddon and already knows the spot will the "final battle/war" will take place. BTW, Mr Perry believes it will happen at Mediggo in Israel.

(There's no need to walk or ride my bike to Krogers. I get the real organic lettuce and tomatoes from my garden.) President Obama comes from a Black Separatist (racist) church which preaches a theology (Black Liberation Theology) whereby the only way the "White Race" can obtain "forgiveness" for the wrongs done to black people, is to give up all their "power", means of production, sources of wealth, etc. to the black people of America as reparations. Only when they do this, can they be called Christians. These are the real beliefs of Obama...his lies and the kicking of his pastor and BLT church to the curb notwithstanding. Your attempts at disparaging Perry are laughable in light of the racist in the White House. You need to become better informed, obviously.

If President Obama organized anything near Perry's Response, short of inviting evangelist extremists, your heads would spin off. You wouldn't hear any arguments from me so long as it was done as a private citizen, not using tax dollars, for a non-political affair. As a citizen, he is still entitled to private exercise of personal religious beliefs. However, in Obama's case, it would be harder for him to not get criticized by some faction, and even be completely kosher with the First Amendment, since the travel expenses and safety/protection of the POTUS inevitably involve tax dollars, so it raises the entanglement issue more so than it does for other politicians.
