You have to get an application from someone who is a member and they have to refer you. You inturn fill out the form and get on the waiting list. Took us 3 years to get in. Once you are excepted, they will send a letter and you have to have that letter signed by a current member of L.A. and send in your dues I believe within 10 days. That is how I remember the process but don't qoute me. We just got in ourselves and love the place. Peaceful and well kept. Nice place to go with no rif raf and parties. Beautiful.

You could also consider Sandyford Sportsmans club. Their lake is right across the road from Lazy Acres and for one fee you get the shooting range too.

I would join Marchall County Sportsmen Club out of the three choices....................jmo

As long as the lake is taken care of the moss then its alright..
If they dont treat the lake and it gets covered it worthless..
they have been taking care of it good the last couple of years

I got in the club last year. First year cost me $150. Second year cost me $90 because I didn't work 3 hours.
I have gone to most of the meetings this year and worked at the kid's bluegill derby. 1,150 bluegills were caught. One boy had the highest count - about 118 as I remember.
You can take your spouse there and children and I believe grandchildren. But no adult children can be allowed.
You can take 2 visitors per year but I believe they have to live more than 15 or 20 miles from the center of Streator. Visitors have to release all fish.
Anyone can fish at the catfish tournaments.
My grown children would like to go with me as a family thing, but the bylaws do not allow it.
No camping but you can fish all night if you want. No swimming, No guns. Dogs must be on a rope or chain.
There is a limit that you catch per day. The water is clear.

Does Sandyford Sportsmans club have other gun ranges besides the indoor one by butternut? and besides the outdoor one at the clubhouse on leonore rd.

The price of membership includes use of the range and the lake.
