I just cant imagine something that big growing in your body and moving around/kicking..
Even carrying that weight for 9 months had to be tough

Oh my I would of killed my husband if I had to push out a 16 pound baby. Thank god they did a c-section for her. I was miserable as ever at the end of Elly's pregnancy and she was only 7lbs 8oz and 19 inches long haha. Even though I have a feeling little Mr. Caelan might be a little bit bigger than her.

i say it would be impossible for any woman to deliver naturally for a baby this size. there private area can only accommodate a baby up to a certain size.anything bigger than what they can deliver naturally will have to be delivered by Cesarean.
i remember on the news years back, that a woman gave birth to a baby weighing between 16-20lbs and had a Cesarean done cause the baby was too big to deliver naturally.

Wow someone p!ss test the fathers sperm, sounds as if it is all jacked up on roids to create a monster like that.
Just joking, I would be intrested on how this child develops, if it remains large and tall or its growth normalizes and turns out like other kids.

OUCH ! ! ! Even for a Cesarean Babe. I fear this babe will have developmental issues; Rolling, crawling, pulling up to things and walking are all going to be a challenge at this size. I hope they can control his blood sugars and he won't end up Diabetic, if so he is bound to be a fussy baby. These babes are used to the calories and just because they are not in the womb anymore doesn't keep their bodies from craving the calories they are used to. He will need Depends before he's ever Potty Trained. Sad!I wonder why the Dr. didn't do an amnio to see if his lungs were developed before he ever reached this size. Mom is going to NEED extra help after having this babe. Her incision has to be the same as Major Surgery, no lifting anything heavier than the babe; under "Normal" circumstances.

I don't think he will have any problems developmentally due to his size. He won't grow any faster than a normal baby now. My grandson was 10lbs 8oz and had no problems at all. I know 5 1/2 lbs is bigger but I would expect he will develop just fine now. He has a good head start is all. I noticed in the video mom looked pooped out ant dad looked proud as heck.

The mother had gestational diabetes and I remember ready that it can cause a much larger baby...that's an understatement! lol
Also, the father is 6' 6".
