My ex brought home this dog from the country and she is not an inside dog by any means. He can't keep her anymore. I was wondering if anyone knew if he could drop her off at animal control, the barns or pet project or something to find her a home? The shelters around here are no kill right? TIA!!

We think she's a cattle dog/blue tick heeler/pit or boxer mix. She mostly brindle colored but her legs are white and have blue spots on them and she has the ears of a cattle dog. She's very sweet but has separation anxiety very bad. She is definitely an outside dog by the way she runs all over my couches and everything. She's used to being able to do whatever she wants I think. She's young, maybe 9-11 months? She's about 45-55 lbs. He found her starving out in kernan at a family friends farm. He brought her to town, cleaned her up and got all the ticks off of her, and fed her. She's been at my house since Thursday night and I can't take it anymore. I have 3 other dogs and she's just too much. Not to mention she's very dominate and I already have a dominate female in my house, that's 3 times the size of her. They haven't gotten into a fight, but I'm waiting for it, and I'd rather her be out of my house before it happens because I won't be able to break them apart.

You might want to give Pet Project a call. They are no-kill and I heard they have room for strays right now because of the wonderful results they have had with their advertised adoptions these past couple of months. I would hesitate to contact the city barns, they are definitely not a no-kill facility.
