I was attempting to foster the Beagle Shiloh until I could find him a good home. It is NOT by ANY means working out. The previous owner refuses to take him back. He can't get up and down my stairs AT ALL. It takes two-three adults to lift him. Yes guys this beagle weighs a good hundred something pounds. This is the second day in a row he has TRASHED my house. The first day he knocked down the baby gate got into every trash can in the house possible. Today I had a giant couch in front of my kitchen while I was running errands, he moved that as well, trash is all over my house again, and he p!ssed all over my toddlers room, on the floor, on her toys, everywhere. He has GOT TO GO! If I don't hear from anybody wanting to take him within the next few hours I will have no choice but to call animal control. He's a sweet guy guys, but he is so overweight and if you attempt to put him on a diet he will destroy your house. He will need LOTS of work to whoever takes him. If your interested call 8159925255

aww poor dog, it's cruel to over feed an animal as well as children. I wish I could take him but I already have a houseful of pets and even if I didn't I would not allow that in my house and he would have to be outside which would mean fence, dog house etc... He sure needs a good diet and exercise. i hope someone can take him and provide it.

The trashing of the house to get into the garbage may also be a sign of something wrong inside, worms, or it could be anything. Had a cat that was a savage for food, huge cat too, and he would pillage and destroy to get into everything just to eat. He had worms, cleared it up and the behavior stopped.

I think it's more along the lines of he was put onto a diet. I asked the owners if they put him on a diet and they said yes.....They obviously lied cause he went so far as eating half of one of those tough dish scrubbers, and will go to any extremes to get more food. I could attempt the beagle rescue however there words are most likely going to be the same as many, the dog would be better off put down. There hasn't been a person that has seen the dog since I have him that that wasn't the words out of their mouths. It irritates me that any owner could allow him to get this way.

That is insane. It is very sad that anyone would allow the dog to get that big and treat it like that. I am just amazed.
Did the person say if it had been to the vet or anything as of late?

She said that he was up to date on shots and was on a diet. So it's hard to tell. She just called my husband telling him if your going to call me a liar and blah blah blah bring the dog back and acting like I'm bashing her. I by no means am bashing her people I'm bashing her father which was the originally owner of the dog for allowing him to get this way.

But she is more than free to get on the thread and give her version of why he is the way he is. Once I can get another guy over here we will return the dog to her. If there are any strong men that would like to help transport the dog tonight feel free to let me know.

Bring him back... I called and said to bring him back. I am not refusing. He must be acting that way in your home cuz he isn't happy there. I was trying to do what was best for him.. I love animals. And your right, I have no idea why he is that big or how he got that way.. Just bring him back and let me know before you come over instead of hanging up on me.

"rolls eyes" check you messages....I'm not about to be in a drama fest with you, I'm very pregnant, very hormonal, and very p!ssed the condition this dog is in. I will not be put into this dog is not happy with you, this dog is not happy PERIOD. He is MISERABLE. I also recall messaging you the other day for you saying oh I'm sorry he is acting that way and sorry he can't get up and down your steps but I can NOT take him. So then I go to other means and then all of a sudden that it's setting a bad image for your family you wanna get ticked. Get over it. I'm about to become mean. And I will have this dog to you once I can find a second male to pick him up to get him to you. Cause as I also told you in that message I can NOT lift him.

Alrighty I just got off the phone with her. The issue we where both running into is we are both p!ssed that the father allowed the dog to get this way. I will be dropping him off to her tomorrow and if nobody claims him she will be giving him back to her dad and the dog will without a doubt be put to sleep.
Loveabull if you could work your magic and find him a home we would BOTH appreciate it beyond believe.

The DOG has been displaced. Animals act out when their situations change, just like kids. You just have to find a way to sooth them and let them know they are ok, and be patient with them.
