Just wanted to post this just in case the jerk reads threads on here. To whom ever was speeding down Chicago St. tonight around 9:10pm, we are not sure if the dog you hit will make it. You didn't even attempt to stop and check if he was ok even after my son was chasing you down the street! The bad thing is the kids that own the dog witnessed it. You should be ashamed of yourself. I do have your plates though so if I happen to run into you, you will definately be told all about yourself and how ignorant you truely are! Stop and think. This road has housing projects and a daycare on it and people fly down the road all the time. This time it was a dog but it may be a kid the next. Please start watching and slow down!

If you got the plate number report it to the police. They will be responsible for vet bills. I know someones dog that got hit before and the driver had to pay the vet bills!

Thats a shame. Never like to see an animal injured because of stupidity. BUT why wasn't the animal on a leash? You can turn them into the police, and you should. But keep in mind the dogs owner may be responsible for any damage done to the vehicle.

I feel bad for the dog, at the same time I can never understand when someone gets upset with the person that hit a dog when the dog proly ran in front of the car. and we all know you cant stop a vehicle on a dime. It is the dog owners responsibilty to keep it leashed and safe from harm.
Now granted my dog gets loose at least once a month, so I'm not judging.....

Honestly, the dog should have been leashed. They didn't need to speed at any rate, but if the dog was running at large and got hit, then that's the owner's issue. It's the sad truth, but that's exactly why there's a leash law. I do hope the dog is alright, though.

at least the person could have stopped and checked. if the person didnt see the dog the person should have felt it i think that is waht the person is tryin to say. at least could have stopped and said sorry my dog was hit about a month ago i was more upset cause the person could not stop and say i think i hit your dog and i am sorry. WHAT IF IT WAS A SMALL CHILD WOULD U KEEP GOIN this time it was a dog but maybe next time it is that child that is running from there parents and goes on the road sorry but this is how i feel

When Jake took off a couple of weeks ago, if he would have gotten hit, that would have been on me. To say a driver probably wouldn't have stopped if he would have hit a child is unfair I think.

This is a dangerous 3-4 block stretch of rode at night! There is not enough lighting and people in wheelchairs, kids on bikes(neither have reflectors or lights) animals at large and a drunken fools on cell-phones walkin down the middle of the road and they will NOT move for anyone!

I never notice the crack-heads cuz they dont smile and usually have no teeth, therefore I cant see em @ night ;D

It is NOT meant to be a RACIST remark...Have you ever driven down Chicago st. @ night? You cannot see animals, drunks or crack-heads(black/white/pink etc...) because of the poor lighting! It is what it is and if you find it racist then so be it!
