I have tried to get a decent one around here recently and failed miserably.. I think most places I go get them from a place in Ottawa..And either I am just unlucky or the quality is bad nowadays. Already expect not much meat but would like some meat. In both the small and large ones seem to be mostly gristle and fat..In fact after examining last week's which had no flavor it had to be 70 percent fat.. Guess a road trip to the Hoosier state is in order for a good one.

Many places carry the Polancic tenderloins in the area. Smitty's In Leonore, Handy Foods in Ottawa, Harcar's in Streator, Flo's in LaSalle all have quality tenderloins IMO.

the fad now it seems like places want to be recognized for the biggest one in the state. they pound them so thin they are like eating cardboard that is deep fried. polancic has a quality tenderloin but many people like their tenderloins freshly done. Smitty`s at one time was my favorite place but they have gone to being bigger is best category.

I haven’t had one, but I’ve been told Dixies has a good tenderloin. I was told they get them at Harcars.
I usually get one from Bulldogs almost every week, and I think they’re good.

I miss Chef Toms. No gristle & plenty of meat.

I’ve also had really good ones at B & R cafe, but it’s been awhile, since they aren’t open on weekends anymore.

We LOVE Bulldog’s Polancic’s!! That's my "Go to" place now. I stop at Smittys, but only on the way back from L/P.

Don't take one out of the case, have them make it right then, they have never had a problem doing it for me. Be careful, the thing is hotter than Hades, but it is about the best I have had on a consistent basis since Donna used to beat them out up at Joes Tap. Polancics do nothing for me at all......

I enjoy a good fritter, and Casey's definitely is one, Pete's pride(cooked at home) is my go to. I still enjoy a good polancic though.

Has anyone tried the home made, hand pounded tenderloins from Jax Grill? No but that sounds like an option.I'll give it a shot some night... I can make one myself but being the only one in the house that eats them I choose not to anymore..

casey`s is a delicious pork fritter. it shouldn't be compared to a tenderloin since it is chopped pork meat and not a single loin piece.
