I saw a sing up at where the Chinese place was once at on Main Street. Maybe something new. I've seen so many Main St. buildings become occupied the last year or so. Only one went out of business.

Saw this posted earlier, among many complaints about B/N. They announced more store closings at the mall, including The Gap and Gap Kids. >>>> "Maybe when Blm (bloomington) gets more things to do then just go out to eat we'll get more stores and companies to come here....no one stays because there's nothing to do....I hear that from doctors who come here then leave to Chicago or st Louis. ...wake-up Blm"
Sounds similar to all the gripes we hear here, doesn't it? Found it interesting.

I've read articles in the Pantagraph where most of retail stores and restaurants are along Veterans Drive.

Yes, MM. There are a variety of things to do, such a long list, that i can't imagine having a single weekend with not being able to find something fun. Just like here. If you make the effort to look, you should be able to find something.

Glad to hear my home town is growing and doing well. Here, population is 200,000 so I sure do miss small town living....cornfields, gravel roads and riding my horse to Dairy Queen. Y'all need something big there, something that will provide a few hundred jobs and really give y'all an economy boost.

OK, I see a large project going on East of the Moose club. LOTS of Earth getting moved around. Some getting built up pretty high, some getting excavated like for a water retention pond for a large project. It's out near the communication towers/dishes. What's going on? It's a storm water retention pond. It was put in to alleviate flooding of streets and basements in the neighborhood. My aunt lives there. She use to get seeer backup whenever there was a heavy rain.

Stormwater retention pond for the sewer system............. I can't remember, what they call it, Thomas addition ( we always referred to it as horsecrap heights ). Anyway, no new buildings tied to it that I am aware of.
