Dill, I don't waste my time listening, just saw the update on my sports authority . The program is a taxpayer funded rate of assets. $750,000 bleachers for a few home games is a waste of money. Next the spend happy board will want to raise taxes, even more. Who cares if relay for life uses the bleachers for a couple hours a year?

I see the puppies are getting their a•ses whipped 31-0. I feel sorry for the kids. Stop the embarrassment. One of our "kids" plays football for SHS. He works real hard and he really enjoys it. Plus, he can walk to practice. I congratulate him. Somehow he sprouted out at SHS. He's 6'2" and just a bit over 200#!

Dd, why don't you send him to Marquette? He would enjoy being on a quality winning team . He could get a quality education & get a fast track to working at McDonald's, after he ruins his knees.

Congrats to the spawn on the thrashing last night. Losing now - can be a learning experience. No dignity is needed for food stamps& government handouts. Start young- aim low & they won't be disappointed in life.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ You have gone just a little past to far with a post trashing them kids like that.
Yep it is true they have been having it handed to them and the teams are not like the teams back in the day.
We had a good team back when I played and even lost some but strived to do better the next time. No double practices anymore because that's to hard for them. I do believe there was a time or still is that they don't have to be in full gear while practicing because that again is to hard on them and they better get water breaks when they want them and when ever they want them.
Sorry but it made us tougher and our endurance was stronger when it came down to playing and getting the job done. When we were doing double practices in full gear and had them couches pushing us as hard as they could. We also didn't get a water break we got to have few pieces of ice rest for 20 and hit it again.
I could be wrong but wonder if it isn't the way society has been with kids in sports anymore. They don't always play the best of the best and now everyone has to play wither you are winning or losing and win or lose everyone gets a trophy.
I think it sets them up for a hard time when it comes to the true test in life and failures along the way.

Congrats to the puppies on a good old fashioned thrashing. It was a perfect statistic improver for the other team. 512 total yards of opposing offense, a forfeit for the rest of the season is in order. Or are these mutilations " character builders" for the life the spawn will enjoy while unemployed in town?

Thanks to the puppies for a good statistic builder for the opponent. 7th homecoming loss in a roll for the spawn. When is the a.d. gong to start scheduling a junior high church co-Ed team for the night??

Congratulations to Plano on a victory over the spawn of streator. A running clock helped ease the pain of the hapless outcasts. The athletic director should forfeit the rest of the season . The bumbling unorganized clods have had enough"character" building.

Good job spawn in beating the worst of the worst. A 1-7 team must have been tough on the coach & hodgepodge of houligans.

Good job spawn in beating the worst of the worst. A 1-7 team must have been tough on the coach & hodgepodge of houligans. Mr C.Slicker, over the past years I have attempted to help you see the value of the SHS students & athletes, but I have clearly failed to impress you with my perspective. I am in full agreement that we have students enrolled at SHS who have not been valued in their homes thus, they lack goals, they have little to zip ideas about proper decorum, they have questionable language skills, & seem to possess a penchant for violence. Those students also seem to have the all too common "entitlement" attitude. But, (& mine's a big butt,) what of all of the others?? I can tell you about those who are in university & doing well. Students you belittled here on this forum in recent years. As well as those who've graduated & are teachers, coaches, bankers, insurance execs, nurses, administrator's & a host of other respectable & demanding careers, all former SHS graduates 🎓 Please know that we all grieve for those forgotten & neglected children who are headed down a very dark path, & we too want help for them. Yet, some of us refuse to ignore the ones who are thriving & doing well in this world. I have always believed that the greatest achievement one can aspire to is that of helping to send capable, concerned, productive & responsible citizens into the world! We don't even have to be a parent to participate in such a goal, as there are careers as well as organizations one can volunteer with to help to bring about the future citizens that I & others are so proud of knowing. I hope you have an opportunity to meet some of our Streator offspring as they are an impressive group of fine young & not so young humans! They are plain old people just like you & me, making their way in our world, & doing it with class!

I think you are wasting your efforts on someone who only sees the bad. I too know plenty of great kids that thrived living and growing up here. I pray for those who don't have the home and family life to support a good future. Thanks for caring and sticking up for our kids.
