There's a little groundhog here that was playing in the rain this morning. Idk my birds, are wrens little, with a small amount of yellow on their bellies? Could be female Golden American Finches. Neighbors, had first HB sighting!!! That's a good thing. Alot of purple house finches for me, but not many Golden ones, as of yet.

Topped tree question. I have a small, about 3 foot tree. In one noc, the leaves were topped off of it. Deer? groundhog? what? The taller one, next to it, is fine.

I think it may be a deer. I guess I have sparrows as my small birds don't make any noise.

Here's a little tip for you Helen....you can do this with your smart phone too....using google, do a search for wren sounds...or cardinal sounds....or whatever bird you think you might want to check out. There will be a website called allaboutbirds.org for whichever type bird you are searching for. There will be photos and sound bytes you can play. Is fun to play the sound bytes outside with the phone on speaker. It really gets their attention and is a lot of fun.

Made me think about that. And all of the talk of a cougar. Yeah. Probably a deer. Teeheehee, had to say bear, though.
