That's what you took from that? I took that he shot him in the arm, in an attempt to NOT take him down. This was a decorated cop. I guess everyone really does see things differently. I see it that he was attempting to give this kid a chance. Too bad the kid didn't stop, after the first, or second, or even third arm shot.

hc, takedown doesn't necc. mean to kill, it's used to stop the aggressor & it wasn't working as the op evid. could take a lot of pain & kept rushing.

We are all guilty of drawing conclusion without all the facts, let the cop testify and tell his side. That's the whole problem with this case, there are so many scenarios and only piecemeal facts. As far as all these vague videos and supposed "eyewitnesses" I am viewing it like a public transportation accident in Chicago, 40 people riding on the bus but 75 injury claims. I wonder how many stories the 40 FBI agents Obama put out there to find witnesses will come up with?

I don't think waldos comment about a 12 gauge meant anything but a kill.
And that's the point I was trying to make. I think the evidence is starting to show, that THIS cop did everything he could, for both him, and this kid to live another day.

"Any book I have read on home defense highly recommends using a handgun with at least a caliber that begins in 4 for defense, or a 12 gauge. Best bet....one of each."

Ok. I just think too many are only looking at a few of the pieces of info out there, and not putting the whole thing together. And that made me react. I'm sorry.

Finally, we will get an objective view of what really happened. Obama has dispatched his straight-shooting Attorney General to straighten matters out. Once Eric has talked to Jesse and Al, we will get to the real truth.

Fact: Kid robbed a store Fact: Kid shoved the cop back into his car Fact: shot 6 times in the front of the body, not the back Fact: Stealing from your own isn't going to change any racist perception, it is just going to make it worse. Fact: Kid had pot in his system
I am so sick and tired of hearing he was a good boy, he was a gentle giant, as he grabbed up the store clerk. Enough is enough!!!

Does this justify an on the spot death sentence? What about his due process? I'm not jumping to any conclusions about the actions of that officer and Mr. Brown. I say let's see what the investigation determines. How do you feel about the police firing tear gas at the press? I find the militarization of our police forces disturbing. What ever happened to the right to assemble and freedom of the press?

What ever happened to the right to assemble and freedom of the press? Octavium, I've kept quiet about this one because I generally don't trust the cops, and I have went off against them before the facts were all in on a previous occasion. That being said, this one is quickly showing itself to be far from a case of a "on the spot death sentence" or a case of one deprived of due process. As time has allowed fact to emerge, we know he was not shot in the back, and from the wounds, his hands were clearly not over his head, we have background audio of an eyewitness at the scene, unguarded, corroborating the officers story. So while I also abhor what the cops have become, in this case, it appears as if the shooting was not what the Media would like to portray.
