Funny thing, back when we went to school, we had breakfast and lunch...... nobody paid extra, it was in the budget. I guess things do come full circle, except now the lunch ladies don't cook from scratch. Snipe, How, about at the school in Ransom? g Same as everywhere else Greek. Doesn't make it right, nor does it mean us peons can do a d**n thing about it.

no child should go hungry in our schools. if we can feed and cloth illegal immigrants then we should be able to provide for our own first.

Oh, but wait you get paid by your "NANNY CORPORATION" right? Yet people believe you will ever "GO GALT"! All Hat, No Cattle! g

Hey JACKWEED, she took the job to be around the kids as they went thru school. As usual, you are all bluster, no information. A lot of parents do that. Some even think of that as they decide to be teachers. That their schedules will be similar to their kids, making child care easier.

if you have a child and are under government assistance fine you may need it but if you have a second child while under government assistance you should lose it no questions asked!

I do believe that maybe the government needs to start putting some form of restrictions on using "government assistance" . Like maybe only be on the government assistance for a limited time and if a person does not get a job or get an education to get a job then boot them off. Number two, I also think that the government assistance need to put limits on what a person can and can not buy on link.

if you have a child and are under government assistance fine you may need it but if you have a second child while under government assistance you should lose it no questions asked! Oh, I agree. We cannot keep rewarding bad judgement. One child, WITH THE FATHER'S NAME ON THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE, just so the taxpayer's can make certain the FATHER has a chance to "man up" and support his child or make certain we don't have to support him. Oh, yea we do have work he can perform, it may even involve him sweating in the sun, or shivering in the cold. Dam!n life is tough. Oh, and the "mom" should be required to take some lessons in nutrition, and Home Economics sewing, etc. If they don't pass the class perhaps, the link card benefits should be reduced. Taxpayers have the paid the price support our families. I don't mind give you a hand up, but I don't owe you a lifestyle of handouts. g

I have no issues with the way things were, but now people making 6 figures don't have to pay for their kids lunch, so my tax dollars are feeding these kids while their parents make way more money then my family. But my kids go to Woodland and it costs us $400.00 for sign up fee's plus $2.25 a day for lunch. Nope, not feeling it.

If so, then I applaud you. Most get their "scratch" ingredients from places like Fox River foods and IFP ( sorry, I can never remember what it is called this week, it will always be IFP to me.....) and then call opening the cans and heating scratch cooking. Make from "scratch"? Where did you go to school? This isn't 1914, it's 2014. Hehehehe...check out the lunch menu sent home from the schools today. It specifically lists on there what they make "from scratch". Which is most of what they serve.
