I wonder if the Nazis made much sense of our American slang? I know we ultimately won. I know the battle of the bulge was a last ditch offensive by Hitler using young boys and old men. What happened to most of the men that the Germans were wanting to surrender? Did they rally and rout the Nazis? Sky cleared, so our airplanes took out the Nazi heavy weapons and re-supplied the troops. The Patton's Army broke the seige. After that last try, the bottom pretty much came out of the tub for Germany. The war for them was over in 6 months. My Dad was stationed in Paris and was sent to the front w/a 50 cal machine gun. He had to use it.

Yes sir Dave, the wankel or rotary engine. I'm too lazy to look it up . Why didn't this engine last? I thought it was going to be the future standard engine.

My Mother learned to drive in a car with another non-conventional engine. What was it?

Haven't the foggiest. I tried guessing, couldn't come up with it. Did a search and still can't find the answer by looking at the winning managers. You got a good one here Dave, or I'm just stupid. lol

Dave, could that be 10 rings as a player and 5 as a manager and coach? If so my guess would be Yogi Berra.

Willy is right. Yogi also won a coupla MVPs. The reason I posted this is that some weasal(s?) broke in to his museum and stole some rings and MVP plaques. Shame. Will go to some collector as this suff CAN'T be pawned.

a Stanley Steamer that her grandfather owned was the car. You are good MM. That's pretty amazing, and very cool. That would be pretty amazing....go fire that bad boy up, stoke the fire, keep water in it and drive. My Grand-dad ran a steam threshing machine. Those are amazing to watch over at the Threshermen's reunion. I went to the Thresherman's Reunion w/ my folks while visiting here..... in the 80's?. Neat place! 4 or 5 yrs ago, my bro and I stopped by and checked out this place. Met some guys from Pontiac. Bro and guys were talking about a collection there of motorized bikes, maybe a scooter. Not big machines. Anyone know about this local (Pontiac?) company and their machines? This may be the only collection of its kind, but kinda obscure.

MLB Q: (HE)finished his managerial career with a 2008–1709 record for a .540 winning percentage. He posted a winning record with each of the four teams he led, and was the first manager to win 500 games with three different clubs.
