I think Sniper wants proof that historically a higher tax rate actually brought more tax dollars into government. If you dont think that leaving the word "rate" has any bearing on your answer, I will leave it at that.

Thanks 4iam for the comparison. Sure an increase in revenue would help, but , after looking at the total debt and total debt vs gdp, I am more convinced than ever that government has to shrink and government spending needs to be reduced.
