You all need to stop judging people. Not everyone thinks the same. We all think differently. And no nobody has the right to shoot and kill someone because of vibs ,looking creepy or aggressive. If they haven't attempt to touch you,but being verbally aggressive, you don't have the right to shoot and kill the person. Especially if they are unarmed not carrying any weapon on them. You are a flat out coward if you shoot and kill a unarmed person. If you need a gun to be in public, then you should just stay home. I don't carry a gun, don't need one in public. This isn't Chicago. Its a little small hick town. People don't need a gun to walk the streets of streator. Learn how to fight and use your fists. Least you'll live another day. Your assumption is that if a woman is carrying, and you walk up to her, she is going to shoot you. Yet it hasn't happened.... Give women some credit.

Ok, so just like I do with the bootlockers, I will ask that you provide EVIDENCE of any such thing happening. Many people here have provided solid real world experiences, and we certainly can't provide evidence of something that isn't happening, so how about it Rocket, show us some evidence and I might have to reconsider making sure my sweetie is amply armed with 158 grain bonded protection rounds....... Did you ever consider that you might be the problem if only you seem to have the issue? BTW, you haven't been paying attention if you think you don't need to carry in Streator.

You don't need to carry a gun no bigger than a 22 or 32 cal To protect yourself with. Why carry it,you can't carry in a business thats posted no fire arms allowed with ilc code on the sign. Yet you people are breaking that law,I've seen a few carrying in a business thats posted ,because I saw the butt of the handgun sticking out the pants. If you are not going to obey that law, then you shouldn't be carrying. Businesses have the right to stop people from bringing guns into their business. You also can't carry in public parks, in schools and other public places per ilc codes. Your definitely not allowed to carry any weapons inside of bars but you all do anyway. Alcohol and guns don't mix.

Rocket, you have no idea whatsoever about the stopping power of either of the calibers you speak of. Past that, it is illegal to show your weapon, so you probably should have mentioned it to whoever you think you saw. As for me, if I deem it necessary, it will be on me, sign or not. I generally try and not frequent those businesses who render their customers vulnerable, and yes, I make it quite clear to them that is the reason I do not patronize their establishment. And YES, it is already illegal to carry in a bar, to wit: "(9) Any building, real property, and parking area under the control of an establishment that serves alcohol on its premises, if more than 50% of the establishment's gross receipts within the prior 3 months is from the sale of alcohol. The owner of an establishment who knowingly fails to prohibit concealed firearms on its premises as provided in this paragraph or who knowingly makes a false statement or record to avoid the prohibition on concealed firearms under this paragraph is subject to the penalty under subsection (c-5) of Section 10-1 of the Liquor Control Act of 1934." Read up on the law, you might not be so paranoid. www.ilga.gov/legislation/ilcs/ilcs3.asp?ActID=3497&ChapterID=39

If a bar also sells food depending on the amount of food sale that is reported, you can carry in there because it is not your responsibility to know that percentage being reported. I on the other hand know it is better to ask forgiveness if caught in one of the other places you are talking about then permission. I am not going to be a soft target and if you or others were in one of them said places and I was there and S H I T went down. I bet you would be pretty happy someone was there to protect you. RIGHT! Now can you please stay on topic.

It says we are not supposed to print as it is stated, but you can carry concealed or partially concealed. That just leaves room for interpterion confusion in my mind. Nevertheless. I won't be a soft target. ( 430 ILCS 66/10 ) 1) carry a loaded or unloaded concealed firearm, fully concealed or partially concealed, on or about his or her person

My dad always said that he'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
