JMO.....Billy Graham was a very good and dedicated man that served God. I think MANY Presidents sought his presence and counsel. We are all human however, no one should be raised up so high above mere flesh and blood status. He was still a humble man and always, always pointed to Jesus, not himself. He managed to live a long life and survived any of the scandals that brought down many a powerful televangelist. I don't have much respect for many of them, but I think Billy Graham was genuine. RIP Oh, and what did the Rev. Billy Graham have to say to President Richard Nixon about the Jews? g

When we were in Florida this winter, my wife gave presentations in a number of small town libraries on a variety of topics. Because I had heard and seen those presentations many times, I would take our dog for a walk while she was speaking. In one small, and very God-friendly town, I ran across a monument marking the first place Billy Graham gave one of his stem-winding sermons. billygraham.org/story/the-story-behind-billy-grahams-first-sermon/

I am totally enjoying this visit! I love how he referred to the Quakers! He is inclusive! Call me stupid, but he has touched me! Not one time has he asked for money! He is talking strenthing of families and forgiveness! We are all equal whether we believe or not!

Perhaps your Democrat friends could learn a thing or two from Nixon, then again, not. "Regardless of the views he harbored toward Jews, Nixon took action at the critical moment and saved the Jewish state from destruction." There would be no churches if people didn't pay. There would be no Vatican if people didn't pay. Trust me. They want your money.

I haven't been to a church yet that told me how much to give. The Bible does state 10% and that is in all Bibles. Most churches just ask you to give what you can. I try to stick to that 10%. I know that my church does a lot for people in need and that the money is put to good use.
