I had the Italian beef sandwich yesterday along with onion rings. the sandwich was good but the onion rings were awesome. they were deep fried just perfect with real onion rings.

I thought the gyro was really good but the fries were horrible. Cold, greasy, and limp. I threw them out and certainly won't be getting fries again. I'm almost afraid to try anything else. How much can a place care about quality if they serve fries like that? But again, the gyro was really really good. The meat had just a bit of char to add lots of flavor but not too much to make the meat dry or crunchy.

I liked their fries, real potatoes, not reconstituted. I could see if they had been setting around and got cold though, they would not be all that good.

If you ever worked in a restaurant, it's easier to be more understanding. Try as you might, you'll never be 100% perfect. You can only do your best.

What? The entire time I was working on the house today, I was thinking about trying this place out. Saw dives post about yummy onion rings, so was looking forward to trying those, and maybe the Italian beef, or a gyro. Or both, since I hadn't stopped for r break all day, and I'm starving! Ugh....they CLOSED up the drive thru!!! Good thing dairy queen is right next door.

Haven't had them here in Streator yet, but at the Pontiac location their catfish filets are really good. Have them quite often when I'm working in Pontiac.

I agree that the fries need improvement, maybe a few more minutes in the oven / fryer.

I went there tonight and really didnt feel like getting out of the car, but the drive thru was closed. I kept right on driving. With the weather getting colder, I wonder how many others will pass them by, without a functioning drive thru.

I've been painting and mudding/spackling/sanding. Before going back home, I run through a drive thru to grab something quick. There are times a person just isn't presentable to go inside. And, once I get home, it's shower and fall in bed. No running back out. I think they are probably losing quite a bit of business, since the drive through has been there, and they just aren't using it. Hmmmm
