Didn't it say in the paper that they will be doing the vote over, at a mtg that they've put it on the agenda?

Many highschools, many elementary schools, many junior highschools, trade highschool and an art highschool. That superintendent earned his paycheck. Streator only has one high school. And it's boundaries are different than the boundaries for the Jr high/grade schools. Ransom has their own grade school, which is not part of the Streator grade school district, but sths district extends out there, same with the boundaries to the north. Those kids go to grand ridge grade school, but sths.

That's why I say, if there is going to be a superintendent, he or she should oversee every school. The grade schools, Northlawn, Woodland and SHS. You don't need a superintendent for one school. That's what a principal is for.

That's what a principal is for. Those are all different districts. If woodland were to consolidate, they would most likely consolidate with the Flanagan school district, not Streator. They've already consolidated their football team with them. And Ransom doesn't have any desire to consolidate, nor does grand ridge.

Something to that effect. The principal runs the school and everyone under him/her. The superintendent is like a district manager, a boss to the principals.

Sths is it's district. Woodland is it's own. The Jr high and grade schools are their own district. So, you've got it, the super is for that district, which is sths

And we don't need one for ONE school. There are not that many schools here that it should be more than one district. One superintendent could cover them all.

That would have to be voted on. Like I said, grand ridge, ransom, woodland, etc, don't want to consolidate.

Yet people wonder why IL has the 2nd Highest Property Taxes in the Nation when we have close to 7000 Levels of Government State wide that can TAX PEOPLE on the Property Level. We are Second only to California which barely breaks the 7K mark. Think about it Here is a Listing of what can be on a Property Tax Bill in IL Multiple School Districts in towns like ours then throw in Library Districts Fire Protection Districts Ambulance units Townships County then City and then Park Districts plus whatever else they come up with Hell I saw my Late Father in Laws for Dupage County he had 24 Different Places he was sending Money to on his Property Tax Bill on his Condo.
