I'ld imagine the authorities are waiting to release the identity until they can inform any family members. That is their job. This way they can let the family members know what happened as opposed to what someone may have hard on Facebook. You haven't been informed of any details yet because it's really none of your business. Thank You. It is none of the publics business of any form of details. And as far as that, yes, I was wondering what happened only because, I ended using the viaduct in order for me to get home from a soccer game. But as far as to what happen, if someone gotten killed, or whatever. As far, as I would know, the engine could of broken down. But if it was a suicide, or a drunk, or homeless person, is really not my concern. And to inform family, let the law enforcement, or the emergency personal do their job, because they are the ones that would have knowledge of what actaully happened.

Was it the homeless lady who had glasses and wore her jeans cuffed up that got hit? She is always walking around Main St. Dark coat, dark hair? I heard it was but can't be for sure. If so, it was only a matter of time before she got hit! I personnaly seen her TWICE step out in front of a moving car. Didn't flinch either time. Both cars had to rush to stop. Crazy! It was like something out of a scarey movie. Heard she might be scizophrenic....obviously. She would always pick up old cigarretts off the ground and smoke them. Poor lady....wish she could get some help. Did this person survive? I've seen that lady around, Streator, also. There is another lady, that rides her bike around. Could it be her? She also needs help, also? But as far if the person survived, I do not know. And maybe best that I do not know neither. Just saying.

It's a small town. People hear and see things.
All I'm saying is it would not suprise me if it was this woman. She had no problem stepping out in front of moving cars. She would not flinch. It was very scarey.
Sad.

It states she had an address. I wonder where the rumors started that she was homeless?

She did exactly the same thing I seen her do twice before! This time she just walked in front of a train.
So sad.
As for being homeless, I was told she was. Not to mention I personally know someone who left food and water for her on a street bench. No that doesn't make you homeless but it makes people assume you are when you have no problem helping yourself to food sitting on the street and half smoked cigarrettes on the ground. Glad to find out she indeed was not homeless.
Either way, it's to bad she could not get help before this. I can only imagine how the train employees feel about this. Had to be scarey.

I don't think that it was that "homeless lady" that you are talking about. This lady had lived in housing on Otter Creek about a year and a half ago and got evicted due to her mental status had scared others at the housing projects. But I also could be wrong on this. And it is sad.

omg people stop coming up with all kinds of stuff you are saying about the poor woman. she lost her life. It makes no difference whether she was homeless or not, whether her family cares or not, which one you think you saw before etc.. omg.

It states she had an address. I wonder where the rumors started that she was homeless? I think most people assumed She was because She dressed and carried Herself that way...no disrespect of course (bless Her heart) I have also seen Her.

How about next time instead of some of you passing judgement on us, try helping someone like this woman! You act all concerned yet did you leave food on a park bench for her?
Get over yourselves. As for the rumor mill which seems many of you are to special to be in, this happened on a public street. This is a small town. People talk, people want to know what happened and why. You are no different but act like you are.
Chevypower I agree with you. I too think people assumed she was homeless, myself included. Your response was right on and helencrump I don't see where chevypower owes you any explanation.
Geesh. Some people need to get off their high horses and out from behind their key boards.
