Even though He has had a change in sex, I won't judge Her, too each their own.

I try to put myself in their shoes and I know it would be beyond frustrating to feel you are really a female when you were born male. So for that reason, I have no problem with what he is doing. To receive that award though, over the Veteran, pisses me off greatly.

Male/Female, that's not the issue, being a media whore is.
I have a close friend who transitioned, wonderful person, she is happy now.
Never told a soul past family and close friends............ Imagine that.

Imagine that. I have to agree...I'm not "hating" on anyone, I simply stated the facts as I see them... I also had a family member transition in the late '70's...Unfortunately, with age came severe regret and depression...It was never discussed openly among family, let alone in the public eye... Jenner should have, and could have transitioned long before he married and had children...I find it quite disturbing to see how the focus is more on attention and $$$ than on the true nature of the decision...It will affect those in his world forever...

I don't know. Even though we say we are tolerant of more things these days, look at the ridicule someone who is transgender or gay/lesbian put up with. It may take more courage to come out and admit this than continue living in secret. It should be no big deal these days but look how many people make fun if their situation. As long as a person is happy I don't care what they like.

You're so right, about the intolerance FOT.
I do feel that if this really is how he feels, then do what he has to do. I still wonder why he didn't separate himself from the public eye while he was figuring things out, like his stepson has done. I don't watch the show, but you can't help but know almost everything about them, just by all the headlines everywhere. And it does seem that Rob Kardashian has kept a very discreet profile since he left the show altogether. He didn't like being front and center for the short time he was on the show. Another person that was not in the public eye was Ozzie Osborne s oldest daughter, when they did the reality show. Only the 2 youngest were on camera. Bruce didn't have to be a spectacle. I think that had he been classy about it, it would've been received differently. I doubt he had much real, soul searching therapy before moving forward. I just hope that in the end, he doesn't end up regretting it, or committing suicide.
I don't think he's much of a role model to anyone who has these same conflicted feelings. He wasn't even honest with his wives. It is one thing not being honest with them, but, he brought 3 families into the picture, with 3 wives, even though he says he knew from a young age. I can understand the first, but when that failed, he repeated the same lie 2 more times. Had THAT been the focus of his coming forward, of not living and perpetuating lies upon others, it would've been more heroic. He's made it all about him, even though, at this point, it encompasses 3 different families.

I,think she handled it the best way she knew how to handle it. I think she has tons of class.

Well, in the time period that I was discussing...his marriages, having kids, and his decisions to hide his feelings from those closest to him, and then his decision to suddenly announce it to the world, even before some of those same people, he was still Bruce. Lol, I've heard PDiddy, use whatever name he was going by at the time of a certain story, in interviews. As in "oh, that was ____" And people still call Prince Prince, not "symbol".
